Nerfing things to stop them from being popular will never work in anything bungie
One thing a game dev should never do is try to stop their community from doing clever things and tactics, we will always find and effective playstyle, camping spot, movement
The thing about trying to balance by limiting is that you will never truly limit anything,
.blink gets nerfed? Titan skating immediately took its place
.you nerf shouldercharge? Sticky nades and the stormcaller melee will take its place
.you nerf sniping? The mida multitool will mostly Likely replace long range combat
.shotties get nerfes? Sticky nades, and fusions will easily take their place, and they have 5 times the range, and last word is more versatile
.Nerf hanecannons? Scouts are more versatile
.one of the classes gets nerfed? The other 2 will just rise above them
.You nerfed the remote? Here comes more last word
.doctorine gets a nerf? Last word comes into more play
Something will always replace it bungie! Unless you let the community be who they want to be and be diverse

16 RespuestasWell it did work, how often do you see doctrines now?

Bungie has nerfed everything so much and so badly that the screen has started feeling the effects.
f..kin fuzzy sh!t
26 RespuestasYeah I'm just done w/ Bungie and their Sandbox team. They're a bunch of amateurs IMO who don't know what they are doing. Having found that my XBX 1 auto-downloaded the patch, I'm going to help a couple people I know who still need raid challenges and then its time to put the game down, as I'm not giving Bungie more money for more of the same. In too many ways, I see Y2 and the start of Y3 as steps backwards from Y1. They don't just nerf our weapons or abilities but they also nerf how they interact. Using Blessings + ToM was a clever move players came up with through experimentation. And in an instant, they entirely eliminated a legitimate strategy IMO. Not that we use the strategy (we use a sniper in the sister towers on oryx challenge) but I know others who did- and more power to them IMO. Other examples of fun things they eliminated because they did not like how we were playing? The sniper zone on the cliff ledge to your left on the Archon Priest strike, the Island method for fighting the templar in the VoG, using razor's edge in the Crota gem room to eliminate enemies even though the glass was up, etc. Having multiple viable strategies to take on certain encounters is what makes this game fun. If players use skills/guns/abilities in ways you did not intend, who cares? You shouldn't be asking yourselves if the encounter was meant to be played that way - instead, ask if your player base is having fun. If so? just let them have fun. It's PVE and the only thing that is being harmed are the dregs.

11 RespuestasDid you just compare the Destiny community to ISIS?
-
Shhh. We can't give away MIDA my babe
-
They're not outsmarting anyone. We all know their shenanigans. What choice do we have except to not play? They're greedy and pvp focused. Get used to it. Such a shame.

Editado por Vampire Nox: 9/13/2016 3:47:54 PMThat's what happens when you let a -blam!-ing Kotaku editor take a lead role in your games development... The game and the rest of the players plays exactly like he envisions it should, or he nerfs the shit out of everything you love.

7 RespuestasFun fact: Osama bin Laden had absolutely nothing to do with those events, he was just used as a patsie so that our beloved government could remove freedom's while simultaneously invade territories that want to remove themselves from the US -NATO backed petro dollar debt system ( same with khadafi and Saddam). Stop drinking the Kool-aid bro.

It does seem like an odd strategy for Bungie. They shouldn't go into a battle of wits unarmed.

3 RespuestasLike the community, they seek the impossible. Shoulder charge being a good example. '' Well we nerfed it because when combined with the artifact it made a little too good.'' Well the problem here, is we already mastered how to time the cooldown. So I don't get the the thinking here. Unless you can literally ping pong yourself between Guardians, which I highly doubt, you are going to stop and your momentum will cease when that shoulder charge makes contact. So in reality, the artifact does nothing that stand asides didn't already do. And guess what, stand asides combined with this artifact, even with a four second delay, it's still going to work lol. So what does this nerf do? The community wants balance at the expense of not dying, That is what's going on. Unless it's something they like and enjoy using themselves, it has to go, it's too powerful. Because a player was able to counter something I like doing, it has to be op. Until players accept dying and getting outplayed in this game, we are always going to have these nerfs, because it gives Bungie an excuse to be tinkers rather then devs. Always power up. You want diversification, you really want balance, then let the game evolve, not devolve.

1 RespuestaYes, we should've never killed bin Laden. Just let bad things continue forever.
-
You're right. They should do nothing at all, that's much more effective. /sarcasm

1 RespuestaIn your analogy, the destiny player community is a rabble of competing terrorist cells. Food for thought.

They nerfed my beloved Sunsinger, but i still play that sub.

4 RespuestasBump. Bring back elementals, there is no legit reason not to. Weapon reforging needs to come back as well. Let us play the way we want to.
-
24 RespuestasBasically you just told them to nerf shoulder charge, Stormcaller and sticky grenades, then take a look at MIDA and TLW. I think these are things soon to be on the chopping block. Thanks for reiterating that.

2 RespuestasNerfs nerfs and more nerfs. There will be another patch were they will nerf more stuff when ROI drops. I came to accept it at this point and try to adapt. If you want Bungie to change somethings make a big streamer make a fuss about it.
