As a former sniper (I mainly use a shotgun or a fusion rifle for my special in PvP these days) I will have to say that I am pretty happy with the changes. While I never really had too much trouble dealing with snipers, when I did pick one up and played between my Y1 Efirdeet's spear and then picked up my LDR-5001 with Hidden hand, the ridiculousness was pretty apparent. I am happy that you can now more reliably challenge snipers, and I feel this was a much needed change.
That said, I've always been a fan of the high impact variety of rifles, but due to the previous sniper meta and the way weapons were balanced, there simply was not much reason to using them.
Now that the impact rating of the 1k stare archetype of snipers has been brought down a peg, I'm hoping the high impact archetypes will become more prevalent again. As it is right now, the closest we have is the Eirene.
Is anyone else a fan of the lower RoF, high impact, low AA archetypes of SR's? I'd love to see more rifles like this whenever RoI drops.

3 RespuestasDude, in case you haven't noticed, that is the only thing dropping this year.

1 RespuestaEditado por Firaga114: 9/12/2016 6:01:09 PMAbout your last question, I've been using the Jade Rabbit religiously (RIP XBone Users) and the satisfaction of getting that 3 headshot kill cross map in less than a second is just awesome. The thing is is there's like 2 maybe 3 maps you can do that on and not get shotgun rushed the rest are all way to close quarters for it to compete with any other primary, let alone fusions and shotties. EDIT: On a side note, if I do use it on a more midrange map I pair it with a sidearm. Now that they got that buff they are actually really versatile and operate as a second primary for me.

I would use lower impact weapons if they dealt as much damage in a clip.

2 RespuestasJust give me year 3 Icebreaker.

2 RespuestasCan the Spindle / Zen Meteor still super snipe? I used the Spindle in PvP a bit yesterday and was still getting ~462 damage for a headshot and ~182 for a bodyshot, so can only assume it escaped the nerf.

1 RespuestaThere's a blue sniper with that archetype, silvered boudecca I believe it's called, and has a mag of 4

6 RespuestasI was using my old spear with ambush today and remembering why I loved it lol. I don't see where people say sniping is hard in destiny. Maybe I was just having a good day or something, but it's easier than ever if you have thumbs which most of this community doesn't.

Eirene was Fixed it now has the same impact as 1kys

Just have one new one that looks normal with the normal scopes plz bungo

I say having 2 exotics is fine, but there needs to be at least 1 if not 2 more legendary options.

Absolutely love my efrideet, check out my hunter if you want to see my roll

2 RespuestasAA nerf was fine Flinch nerf was fine albeit hurts in pve Damage nerf was absolutely unnecessary and should be bumped back, pve suffers the most but a headshot from ldr and such archtype should kill a roaming super

3 RespuestasYes. It's only logical. They have several low impact, several mid impact, but only 2 high impact ever available? I don't have a spear myself and I'd rather not have to use spindle to super snipe or be the ONLY gun used in PvE. Bring more 37 impact snipers.

I like the archetype but I hate the Spindle scope. I would like one with different perk options and sights. Sadly I dismantled my spear long ago...:-(

Editado por Jaybee4920: 9/11/2016 2:27:37 PMI just use my Uzume and its fun.

It's a good thing. It would be nice for them to add a few more for variety

1 RespuestaScrew snipers, they had the meta for a year. They bitched and ruined every gun that could compete.
