The placebo effect is real
The post was getting effed up so I'm simplifying things ...
No matter what character I play ..
When I take off my legendary and exotic gear and go all whites like what you start with at vanilla .. It makes little difference in k/d on a game to game basis ..
I just think ppl will do well if they believe in their weapons more ...
It's easy to believe in TLW and MIDA cuz everyone guarantees it but in the long run they don't make or break your guardians k/d or win potential ..
K/d and win comes from the 1000's of choices you make each game .. Not the 100's of trigger pulls and prayers that go with em ..

1 RespuestaThat's not really how this works. The meta only really applies when two people of like skill have a one on one gun fight. People with meta weapons win every time. You would only see this at a much higher sbmm level than you are currently at.

If you win or loose depends on lag. If rngesus eats your bullets out of the air you can't do anything about it. And because it's rng you can't even prepare. Sometimes he's a glutton and eats them all, at other times he doesn't.

Your gear and weapons are a HUGE factor in how well you play You using a MIDA or Tlaloc will outdue yourself using some shit white blue or green gun everytime You using a PSI Alba will be outgunned by you using a Hawksaw or Grasps 100% of the time You being able to have two grenades or two melees instead of one will help you You having higher intellect and strength will help your ablities recharge faster thus helping you

I would describe the meta kinda like racing cars, in a regular race, against regular drivers, even a slightly skilled player can outrace everyone... But if you want to race NASCAR, you have to have a pretty well tuned car, and a quick pit crew...

The meta really only applies strictly to high level players in competitive modes People of generally the same high skill level find the most effective guns Then they lost videos with those guns and, wanting to get better, the general population uses what they see the best guys using. Like a basketball player buying Jordans because mike wears them. He could play in flip flops and beat most everyone just like top tier players could use junk weapons and beat most anyone And to say the meta doesn't exist expresses a misunderstanding of what the word means, it is the game to find the best tools for the game, the game of the game so to speak Now to say it isn't important and is silly to flip out about for most players would be accurate, but the thing exists

There is a meta, but, if you play smart, you can break from it. Also, because everything is reskinned, you can get a green that is in meta. I had a green armenius, and it was alright. It only came with counter balance, but it was still fun.

There is a meta. Its very easy to see what makes for powerful set ups in this game.

Or vex could kill an entire 6 man fireteam TWICE without reloading...or thron consistently 2 shot, at sniper range. It may not be required to do well but you cannot deny that certain guns will have a significant advantage.
