Yeah I saw this the other day. Pretty ridiculous

35 RespuestasThat video didn't sell me on anything. It seems that the mechanics of the weapons seem realistic. Who said that a bullet should go where your reticle is? Especially from across the room? I have experienced this issue with a handgun, which like the video stated should be deadly with accuracy but at a very close range. Use a weapon by design and you won't have a problem. A falling opponent didn't get one shot by a shotgun (which shoots "shot") at a medium range....okay? Duh.
-
I think its fine. Accuracy is a cone shape, up close your bullet is more likely to hit where your pointing. As distance increases, so does the diameter of the cone, thus bullets not going where you're pointing.

Editado por Erijian: 9/10/2016 7:38:13 PMFairly certain he's out of "mid range" in the video..Which is why he's getting "ghost bullets". You can stack as much range as you want, but if you try to use Hand Cannons out of their designated range it doesn't matter how much damage drop-off you're facing; there will be accuracy issues. Maybe it's a bit extreme, maybe the inaccuracy should only happen with damage drop off (Forcing all HC users to spec for range), but whatever. HCs already have the advantage of aerial accuracy; I don't mind them having a downside.

43 RespuestasAnd yet in trials where people use the weapon that they're most effective with, everyone still uses handcannons. Weird. But ya let's make them better. So if people find handcannons to be so inconsistent, and they still choose it, what does that say about the other primaries.

52 RespuestasMy question is with all these "ghost" bullets.. why are over 75+% of ppl using handcannons? Oh its because they are OP as fuk
-
Where is Cozmo now with his "bloom" ?

1 RespuestaEditado por Keto: 9/10/2016 6:54:42 PMI feel a little torn. To speak about the issue at hand, I'll say this: One one hand, hand canons are really effective as they are, regardless of these "ghost bullets". They haven't seem to really hurt where hand canons rest in the meta. On the other hand, people want to feel like their shots are landing where they should, which is valid, If this was fixed, I imagine rebalancing of hand canons would be required which is fine. - - - Now to speak about this video in particular, as "scientific evidence", I have issues with it: We see snippets of "ghost bullets", but aren't informed how many total attempts were taken, so there's no realistic idea of how often it happens. The shotgun snippet he showed, I actually completely disregard because the player was falling, and the community is aware from jump-sniping, that as you fall, your shots skew upwards. And in the shotgun snippet, that's pretty much what happens. It was a bad video snippet, so why show it? It distracts from making your point seem reasonable. The last issue I take with this video, is it showed the hand canon shoot from only one range essentially. And it was a decent range, but a closer range should have been tested, to show how that factors in; coupled along with the total number of shots and how many were "ghost", and then have this process repeated a few times. I bring up these issues with this video in particular, less so to "debunk" it, and more because if it wants to be taken seriously as viable "proof" or "scientific evidence", it should make its claim a bit more airtight.

5 RespuestasTough call really If he moves into hand cannon Range he'd proboly have no ghost bullets But I guess the argument should be They can have that range But do little to no damage instead of ghost bullets
-
3 RespuestasThis is the spookiest thing i've ever seen. G-g-g-ghost!
-
If he had icarus on that shotty he would have had the kill. Your accuracy drops when you jump in the air
-
The way bungie works: they figure out what changes people really want then they sell them on the next dlc so people come back
-
This makes me sick. I didn't realize rng screws with your freaking gun!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Besides that hand cannon are way to powerful atm.
-
I like hand cannons for their fast time to kill. I want them to always be the best and most effective option. I want to be able to snipe with them. OK.
-
1 RespuestaI saw this earlier. I thought that it was only with shotguns and hand cannons after firing the first shot, but this is just awful.

19 RespuestasEditado por BrewWaffles: 9/10/2016 2:43:04 PMPractically sniper range in this video. Of course it's not going to be accurate lol Edit: I wasn't trying to say literally sniper range. But you have to take into account, the farther away you are from your intended target, the less accurate your gun will be. Remember, bullets don't fly straight out of a barrel when you shoot. Yes the video does point out the issue for ghost bullets, but a lot of people don't grasp why the bullets aren't consistently on target.

1 RespuestaWhy dosent he go closer, like 3 ft away? Or even 10 ft?
-
Bungie needs to see your name and how childish it is.

Editado por Heidegger: 9/10/2016 5:25:59 PMI think we have a bigger issue, people believe that in the video that isn't optimal handcannon range. In reality that is the furthest range you can take a handcannon and be effective however you will lose to pulse/scout rifles at that range. The video is proof enough, if he was closer he would be in fusion rifle and shotgun rang due to the fact how strong mobility is in this game. Edit: The idea is simple, all your bullets should hit from that range(if your aim is good) but damage fall off will prevent then from competing with scouts and pulse rifles.
-
On the hand cannon and the scout fifle the red dot is the size of the targets head.

I get the meaning of life now...
-
I just want them to stop telling us how to play and nerfing/buffing things to follow that. It limits play sooo much. This game has so many guns but only a handful are usable? That's not broken that's called calculation, they're doing it on purpose

Good presentation.
