I'm sick and tired of people who main one class talking about nerfing other classes and making up ridiculous statistics and numbers. These people that don't understand game mechanics, yet complain about them. Like some of these people you wouldn't even think play destiny how off they are. "Lightning grenades are the only non-sticky grenades that can one shot people" Lightning grenades tick for about 122 damage, meaning they can't one shot. Incendiary grenades and scatter grenades are not stickies and they are capable of OHKs. "Throwing knives shouldn't be able to OHK" They DON'T. They do around 142 damage... To the head! If that kills you at full health I think your guardian has some kind of terminal illness. "Aim assist on snipers..." I don't think people who complain about this even know what aim assist does. It's on all weapons, but it acts differently on snipers. If you're walking around corners in places you know someone is hard scoped, then honestly I have no words for you. "Shot guns take no skill!" Well I guess if you had any you wouldn't die!!! "Shoulder charge is OP" There is a man running towards you... And you have a gun. Uuuuuuuuuuuse it!!!! If you let a titan run up in your face, chances are if he had a shotty he/she would have killed you anyway. People make the stupidest and most retarded claims here. If you have 3 hunters, you don't understand how any other classes work so please don't complain about them. The same goes for titans and warlocks. If you can't snipe, don't complain about snipers. If you can't shot gun... Then there might actually be something wrong with you (Lol) . But honestly, you people are trying to break the game and don't even know it.     Granted that I don't think SC should be able to OHK anyone, regardless of subclass, BUT both SC and the shotty abuse are foremost map issues. The maps in this game are just so incredibly bad. It's like they've gone out of their way to make sure that it's extremely hard to maintain map control and practicially impossible if you're not playing with a 6-man group over chat. Basically every spot on every map - with the exception of SoT and the bigger maps that currently are out of rotation - can be reached from atleast two but usually three paths. Combine that with the speed of some specs, the shotty range, the abundancy of special ammo and the pisspoor netcode and you got yourself a problem. With snipers you're either dying because you challenged and lost or because you were standing in a lane. There are very few of those lanes in the game but everywhere els you're at risk of getting ganked by a shotty-melee combo or SC. For every time I get sniped I've probably been killed by SC/Melee/shotty 20 times....atleast.

            • my main grievance is being killed by smoke bomb, i get really hissy when this happens, i dont mind being shoulder charged, warlock slapped and hunter wombo..but smoke on its own makes me grrrr

              I main Hunter, and I used to absolutely despise FoH and NB because of how often I'd pop my super only to immediately get shut down by one of the two. Since I've started playing other classes (trying to level up Sunsinger and Defender atm), I've grown to appreciate all three. Haven't used Stormcaller or Sunbreaker yet, but I'm getting there. However, that doesn't mean tweaks aren't necessary. Out of every subclass I've played so far, there are a few tweaks needed on a few. Having used every super besides Stormtrance and HoS, here are the ones that I believe need buffs: [b]1. Arc Blade[/b] [b]2. Radiance[/b] [b]3. Shadowshot/Nova Bomb[/b] [b]Arc Blade[/b] users can be taken down so easily it's an absolute joke. I know not everybody agrees, so I'll leave it at that. [b]Radiance[/b] is fine for the most part, I just think solar grenades don't do nearly enough damage as they should (I've been on the giving and receiving end of this one), and since the super revolves entirely around the other Sunsinger abilities, it directly affects the viability of said super. [b]Shadowshot[/b] and [b]Nova Bomb[/b] are both at number 3 because they both need tweaking for the same reason. They both need to give players control of mid-air horizontal movement during the activation animations, and vertical movement during said animations needs to be almost entirely removed. When you activate these supers mid air, you could float off the edge of the map, or go behind a tree and have your ability hit that instead. For Nightstalker, you're wasting your super; for Voidwalkers, you're likely going to commit suicide. It's the guardian's light that causes them to float, therefor they should all be able to choose the direction in which they float. Lastly, a modification needs to be made to the basic controls that applies to every class... ...tap RB/R1 for regular melee, hold RB/R1 for class melee. That way you don't spend your charge unless you actually need it. Any objections to the things I have said? [b]EDIT:[/b] Weapons are all fine. Only issue I have is with aim assist tugging at my aim whenever another enemy moves in front of the one I'm actually aiming for.

              • I hate that PvP balance is killing this game because Bungie refuses to separate PvE and PvP weapons and Guardian ability performance. Give it up Bungie! Separate them already!

              • I play all 3 classes but main a hunter. Nothing is really op right now. I think warlock thundersnipe melee is a bit ridiculous but it's not a one shot kill. (I think). Snipers are fine, shottys are fine (actually kinda broken at the moment I've had shottys kill me at ridiculous ranges, and then only lose half health to the SAME shotty a foot away). Titans supers are very panic based but I think that's point. Hunters get wayyy too much shit, they aren't op fam. Killing a rushing Titan isn't as easy as titan main make it sound, the are fast as -blam!- lol.

              • Titans have one shot melees, panic fist, and shotguns buff them. They're already almost impossible to kill. Don't even get me started with the hammers. Warlocks also have a few one-shot melees, self res and a bunch of other stuff. Hunters have NO one shot melees except a super, but with no extra armor of defense for having to be in someone's face. It's clear who the underdog is, but hunters still get called OP. That's a load of crap.

                  Agreed. This is what I usually see. -"Warlocks thunderstrike strike is op with amplitude." The perk only increases range and does 122 damage. With feedback active 186. That's not enough to kill even a minimum armor guardian. -"It creates a safe zone from shotguns." Use any other -blam!-ing gun. Use a grenade. Use a super. There's more than just shotguns in the game. -"It's too strong of a combo with a shotgun." Then so is throwing knife. -"Throwing Kinves don't have tracking, require skill and have a travel time." Yes throwing knives don't have track, but they have a pretty big hit box and in close quarters travel time is unnoticeable. Edit: occasionally the numbers do bend for some reason. I'm not sure why, but I've seen standard melees do 127 damage and lightning nades do 125 damage. These really only matter marginally though and only increase damage slightly. If you want accurate numbers a controlled environment is the best option, and since private matches are coming our numbers will be even more accurate.

                    • The shoulder charge can not be avoided unless they are charging from really far away which they never do, if you can somehow do enough damage to them before the reach you their body will still fly into you and kill you even after they are dead

                      • Lol, that and all the people crying over the Stormcaller Melee range... If you really look at all the melees in the game it's not that bad. In fact, it's different than other melees. I don't know if people have noticed but you have to make a build to truly get that range (one perk now committed to just melee) AND the small fact you're actually shooting a freaking lightning bolt. Of course it has wicked range. Someone who thinks a lightning bolt shouldn't have good range is just... unimaginative.

That's maybe being picky. Overall weapon balance in the Crucible is probably the best it's ever been. The return of Thorn makes me nervous...

                                • Bungie needs to start banning people who STILL thinks ANYTHING needs to be nerfed any further. I know saying that is drastic but this shit is getting old as fućk. I'm terrified about what's to come with weapon and subclass tuning with RoI. Bungie and this community are hellbent on destroying EVERYTHING. The whole 2.0 patch needs to be reverted.
