Jesus Christ, Bungie
Back when the Tripmines were nerfed, I couldn't be happier, as I main a Warlock and sometimes a Titan, and I just... have a hunter. I was finally getting past the Tripmines and avoiding them successfully, only now do I realize that you messed up badly.
I understand the sticking part of the grenade. That needed done for. (btw stop complaining Hunters, they're Tripmine grenades, not fusion grenades) But the DAMAGE NERF?! holy mother of god, I cannot tell you how useless the Tripmines are! I can literally walk through one, have it explode on me at close distance, and not even lose a half of my shield. It's ridiculous! Nerf the cooldown, make its detonation range smaller and slower, but for the love of God DO NOT nerf the damage like you did.

Editado por Shadow: 8/24/2016 6:31:52 PMFinally! So eine asking for a buff that would go against them! That's what I've been looking for since Y1. I honestly think that tripmines need to do more damage than a minimum armor warlock....
-
They pretty much killed that entire subclass with that nerf.
-
I don't even main a Hunter and I think they should stick to enemies. Though I don't think it should blow up until something triggers the 10,000 Lumen beacon of death emitted from it.
-
10 RespuestasYou're retarded if a tripmine can stick to walls, floors, ceilings, etc then THEY SHOULD stick to enemies. What's next, nerf smoke grenades so they don't stick to people because wahh wahh too OP?
-
18 RespuestasEditado por firerwolf: 8/23/2016 12:53:04 PMNo they aren't like fusion grenades, they took effort to stick. I'd also just like to point out that according to the games in game dialogue they were supposed to stick to living things. On the tower there's a intercoms line of dialogue from the all powerful and sexy Cayde telling hunters to stop sticking the pigeons with trip mines meaning that the idea that they weren't supposed to stick is false.

3 RespuestasI die by tripmines all the time. Nothing wrong with them. You won't die by a lightning grenade with one shot, but if you ADAPT and use it to kill someone injured who ran behind a wall... then yes it's effective. TRY ADAPTING PEOPLE! FFS!

They nerfed it because of 6v6 data where gunslingers were doing well above average compared to other classes. Its obviously gonna do well in a 6v6 because its basically an auto triple kill super in a 6v6 environment. If they wanted to nerf gunslinger make the super have the sound like the rift carrier when roaming around. Then at least gunslingers have to be prepared for retaliation in 6v6 encounters. But tripmines? Nah never needed to complain about that. Before the nerf players were getting better at using them as defensive tools but you can shoot them easily off the wall lol. I never complained about being stuck by a tripmine because its aim assist was far lower than that of a throwing knife. Just seemed like bungie looked at 6v6 data and pulled straws on what part of the subclass to nerf lol
-
They are supposed to stick. And it was fun to do that. Which is, of course, why they were changed. Jon Weisnewski hates fun.
-
I'd just used Incinerary Grenades. They work the best for gunslingers now.
-
3 RespuestasI just t bag tripmines, that's how bad they are

3 RespuestasTO EVERYONE WHO SAYS "THEY JUST WANT EASY KILL" What are fusion grenades, magnetic grenades, flux grenades and shoulder charge then? Tell me and I will shut up.
-
13 RespuestasEditado por Unbreakable Patches: 8/22/2016 11:40:09 PMYou sound lazy. You know your guns still work, right? You're just bitching because you don't have an easy mode kill anymore. The grenade does like 4 less damage for Odin's sake.

13 RespuestasThe damage nerf was so out of the blue and completely unnessesary. No one was complaining about it and being able to stick a trip mine to someone was one of the funnest thing in the game. Bungie really killed the fun factor with the Hunter. Also, I would argue that the Trip Mine sticking to someone was not op as it took a lot of skill to do this since there is no aim assist when throwing it unlike the Fusion Grenade. On top of that, the Young Ahamkari exotic Hunter gauntlet (arguably one of the best Hunter exotics) was made almost useless. It should have been changed at the same time to allow double of ANY Hunter grenade. I think the real reason the Hunter was mega nerfed was to shift the meta to favor Titans. And from the shear number of Titans in crucible since then, it has worked. Hunters are the red-headed stepchild right now.

1 RespuestaIf they detonated faster and were more difficult to see, I could even justify a further damage nerf.

28 RespuestasTripmines are fine

1 RespuestaEditado por Der Sheff: 8/22/2016 8:43:45 PMThis Iron Banner I have seen no less than 8 instances of people running past my Tripmines and receiver 0 damage. I've had at least 5 go off and deal 188. I personally have taken two or three and not died. Tripmines are still my favorite grenades, but they are very unreliable.

8 RespuestasAs a hunter maining GG lately. I still am getting plenty of kills with my tripmines. But i wouldnt agrue over a buff either!(: Ive just found that i need to be more creative with them. Not a proboem.
-
10 RespuestasI think they will fix this after the rise of iron. :)
-
They turned the knives into those velcro darts as well. Pretty brutal how bad they slammed ol solar hunters.
-
that is lag or something, even full armor titans go to less than half health with a tripmine. tripmines are 90% effective as they have ever been. Although they are for people to walk by and "trip" to go off, they are not effective if you throw them outside of an engagement. They are fantastic grenades if you know how to use them.
-
just bring the damage back to before the June update. enough said.
-
Agreed. The damage nerf was unwarranted. Each other directional grenade in the game inflicts sufficient damage to kill a guardian on its own. I see no reason why the Trip mine should be the sad exception to this.
-
I totally agree with OP
-
During iron banner last night with striker Titan I can walk through them at close range but I only have 10 percent health left from max armour
-
Agreed.

3 RespuestasAs a titan, I think tripmines need immediate detonation. The grenade shouldn't wait a few seconds to arm before exploding, because just as you said, you can run right through them and take minuscule damage. It need to explode immediately as someone triggers it.
