Well after waiting for 8 years Metallica has announced their new album "Hardwired to self destruction". Which comes out on November 18. Personally I hate how LoS song is only available on deluxe edition.

4 RespuestasSounds uninventive and lack luster, but what else would you expect from the washed up clowns who think their washed up genre is going anywhere. Let's not lie and say that Metallica has ever put out anything really interesting other than Master of Puppets. Sorry to break it to you guys, they're a one-trick pony.

12 RespuestasI hate how not a lot of people appreciate S&M. One of their best albums, it just has every song amplified to it's absolute best. I don't think James' voice has sounded better anywhere else either.
-
Title track sounds pretty formulaic. Hope the rest of the album is better.

Is there a "Unforgiven 4"?

4 RespuestasThanks, but no thanks. This is pretty terrible. I love James, but Lars sounds like complete trash.

I listened to Hardwired earlier this morning. I took a few things away from it. Firstly, it looks like they've finally learned how to finish a damn song. Previous works had dragged on long after they'd worn out their welcome. And it's nice to see that they're bringing the Thrash vibe back. But I'm disappointed. Lyrically, I'm appalled. James has written some absolute masterpieces during his time with Metallica (Nothing Else Matters), and I'm not seeing any evidence of that here. Obviously, I'll have a closer look once the whole album's out, but right now I'm not overly impressed.

5 RespuestasMetal is making a comeback folks! Just when I thought the genre dried up and everyone was douching out to Miley Cyrus!
-
Sounds like ass. But then again they only had one good album. So not that surprising.

Metallica who? ... It sounds like they are trying too hard. I hate to say it but there's some goth Swedish dudes out there painted up like Jugalo's, with better riff's then that. Metallica hasn't really rocked since Dave Mustaine quite writing all their songs for them.

Heard it today! I love it

OMG NO FREAKING WAY! ARE YOU SERIOUS? AN ACTIVE BAND IS RELEASING A NEW ALBUM? NO FREAKING WAY. IT FEELS LIKE JESUS BARFED RAINBOWS IN MY EYEBALLS.
-
Cool.... happy they are releasing something I'm more of an EDM guy but... Yeah...
-
YAAAASSSSSSSSS

I love Metallica. Have since I was 8. Have every album. Favorite band in the world for me. But this is just garbage. St. Anger was even better than that. Will I buy the album? Hell yeah. Will it be one of my favorites? Most likely not.
-
Looks like I'm not getting that album
-
I think its pretty good, certainly better than Death Magnetic imo
-
It's alright. Pretty mediocre but I doubt they'd release the best song off the album. However if that is the standard then I'm sorry to say but dystopia will be far better.

Idk. I really like the riffs but I have to be honest. The vocals are boring asf. Technically I don't really like thrash metal because of the vocals so I guess my opinion is a bit biased. I started listening to music because of metallica so they still hold a special little place in my musical heart. I don't think they'll ever make another song like "The God That Failed". I absolutely love that song. I doubt I'll ever hear that kind of song from them again but I'll still keep an ear out for them though. You never know right?

I can't stand modern Metallica.

4 RespuestasEditado por Masque of Night: 8/18/2016 10:36:17 PMEight years? Was Death Magnetic really released that long ago? Metallica was one of my favorite bands when I was growing up. I may not keep up with them as much as I used to, but I still really enjoy their music. The new song sounds pretty good to me.

I seriously thought this was gonna be a "Rick-Roll". Clicked anyway, pleasantly surprised. Not their greatest, but it's not bad.
