It really says something when you can look at the majority of the community's raid completions and VOG or CE have more completions than kings fall.

I have the grand total of 0 KF's completions.
-
1 RespuestaKF is just too long unless you get a decent fireteam. I've spent over 3 hours alone on oryx because of halfwits. I work 40 hours a week and have a little girl, so unless i stay up until stupid o clock, or play all weekend i just don't have the time for KF. I'm not even complaining either, it's just not worth the hassle and time.
-
I hate kings fall. It is so boring
-
The end game rewards in KF were underwhelming at best when compared to the other raids. KF wasn't FUN when you received shards after a boss kill. Both VOG and Crota were more forgiving. If someone screwed up it wasn't ALWAYS a wipe. Exception being the sword bearer on Crota. Let's all hope Bungie has put the FUN back in raiding and learned from their past mistakes.
-
Eh I'd say it's more because the other two have been out for longer. I know quite a few people who still do Kingfall on a regular basis. Especially after the April update.
-
2 RespuestasI enjoy the dynamic of each Guardian in the King's Fall having to pull their weight. In Vault of Glass a couple players could carry the group with little issue. In Crota's End one player could carry the group with little issue. The first two raids were basically, "Pull out your rocket launcher and nuke the boss." At least now you get to use a sniper rifle and scout rifle, and maybe a fusion rifle or machine gun...
-
As a player that started after CE I can say that's not true for me, but I can see how it happens.
-
Kf gets really boring really fast even if your having fun with it for the most part I'll pass when asked
-
My CE is so high just bc I don't like playing with random players. Vog was ok but not KF...
-
I actually have been playing since Beta, and didn't complete either year 1 raids while they were relevant. I played through them after Kings Fall came out, and playing them in revert order has skewed which raids I prefer. I, personally, like Kings Fall. The encounters were significantly more fun to play. I still would love to see Bungie dump the jumping puzzles, I want to shoot things, not play Mario Haha. I will definitely agree that the Kings Fall weapons are terrible in physical design, but are fun to use (cocoon is an amazing perk). But, the Kings Fall armor, again in my opinion, is awesome looking! I'm beyond excited to see what Bungie brings with Rise of Iron. Side note, I'm a long time WoW player. I would love to see a system similar to WoW introduced where there are individual wings that need to be completed in order to complete the entire raid.... Idk, wishful thinking
-
Honestly ppl just don't have the patience anymore to do kings fall
-
4 RespuestasI think majority of the player base that's left is just over Hive-themed BS already. Bungie bled the stone dry on Hive content.
-
On a more serious note: the reason why kingsfall sucks as a raid is because in the other 2 raids, during the final fight if 1 or 2 people died, a skilled team could still get the completion. But in the final fight in kingsfall if one person dies it's pretty much just an automatic wipe.
-
5 RespuestasMy main reason for hating KF more than the others is because of all the rage quitters and how long it takes if even one person doesn't get it exactly right. When I work all day and come home I don't feel like staying up until 5am to finish a raid and get gear that looks awful xD
-
I like King's Fall, but the poor loot drops and the if-1-person-dies-its-a-wipe nature of it soured me and my pals off it. I only ever had 1 harrowed helmet from the hard mode and that was from doing Oryx challenge on my titan the 2nd time it showed up.
-
2 RespuestasWhat makes a raid good or bad? Is it the mechanics of it? NO Plain and simple it's the drops/loot. If something takes 45+ minutes to complete and the rewards are ALWAYS disappointing then this will become a theme. If something takes a while (VOG) but the rewards have a chance to be badass (vex, vision, fatebringer, Praetorian Foil, Atheon's Epilogue, etc.....) then it becomes very rewarding. The actual raids aren't horrible, even Kings Fall isn't horrible, but the rewards are pathetic, so, raid sucks is how people look at it.
-
I agree that it is terrible. But the reason for my low completions is because I got max light and I don't need too anymore. VoG there were reasons after max light. Not KF.
-
Actually, I don't run it because Challenge of Elders gives me comparable loot for less time invested. Plus, the only requirement you need to put in LFG is "must be able to shoot aliens".

43 RespuestasList of problems with Kings Fall: 1. It requires that EVERYONE be on point and its unforgiving. Someone dies in certain parts of the raid like for example Oryx or Sisters, and its an instant wipe. This makes some parts of the raid frustrating. 2. Weapons suck except for Quillims Terminus and Defiance of Yasmin. The other raids' weapons were amazing and had cool unique perks and feel to 'em. 3. Armor is ugliest armor in the game. 4. The Oryx fight is so frustrating to do with people who are going in on first try. This makes random teams split up the minute someone dies two times in a row. This is the reason there are so few raid completions amongst the player base. 5. The first half of the raid is pointless, as rewards are a but a bunch of hadium flakes, a crappy fusion rifle and a ghost. 6. Jumping sections drag on for too long. While on VoG and CE you would transition more quickly from one section to the next. 7. Labyrinth has a useless reward chest for hadium flakes. 8. Most players cant jump for the life of them. 9. Apparently schools do not teach what counterclockwise is anymore. 10. Its just too damn long and feels like its a drag. Not everyone has the time to pull 3 character runs each week as with VoG and CE. 11. The challenge modes are split apart weekly instead of you being able to do them whenever you want. Another stupid idea of the developers thinking that this way they are stretching the playtime among the player base. 12. Hadium flakes do no work as intended. Oryx DOES NOT drop better rewards if you have more than 20 hadium flakes on point. 13. No one cared for Beltane or Bone Marrow. The green neon light one looks cool at first but the bad drop rate of armor and the fact it only drops from Golgoroth or Oryx discourages people to keep trying to get a complete set. 14. There is but one ship and its ugly AF 15. Destiny is an FPS. Players want to SHOOT at aliens, not JUMP around like its Mario Bros. 16. There are just too many damn emblems, shaders, weapons, armor, items, etc. to acquire, making you feel like you never want to do this again after getting everything from the raid. 17. There are just more fun things to do in Destiny than playing KF. 18. The exotic weapon you get from the raid is useless for other parts of game and only worth having for the Sisters and Oryx. Touch of Malice may also be the worst exotic in the game. 19. Some people just don't have the patience and time to go looking for calcified fragments and never got the Touch of Malice, which meant they could not find a team willing to let them join for Oryx or Sisters. This was worst than "MUST HAVE MAX GJALLARHORN" in Y1. At least any rocket with tracking substituted a Gjallarhorn. Although not required if you are really good, nothing substitutes ToM in KF. 20. There are other options to reach max light level in game than playing KF. PVP players do not need to go through KF at all to reach end game light level.

Ye cause KF is garbage.
-
It's boring and everyone quits or falls asleep by the end
-
The main reason is simply because EVERYONE has to do their fair share. A lot more teamwork associated with KF than the other two, and most Destiny players are "gimme now" crybabies they just leave if there is a mistake made. If people would teach new people probably wouldn't have that much of an issue.
It really says something when you can look at the majority of the community's raid completions and VOG or CE have more completions than kings fall.
its cause kings fall sucks compared to VOG and CE

I have 17 kings fall completions. And 60 ish of both vog and ce. But for some reason kf seems to me like I had spent way more time on. Maybe because the raid was all mechanics and no fun. Tons of wipes because if one person wasn't perfect... well, yeah. But I agree kf did suck. And I pray to RNGesus that this new raid is more like vog. Ce sucked, though I had fun being sword runner every time (no ghally then, but acquired before TTK through ce.) But that raid was short and too easy honestly. Vog was fun, large, felt explorable. I hope the new raid is like vog
-
For the first few people that did it, it was 'bragging rights'. But, now it seems to be a lot of work for not much of a pay off.
-
Notice how the Destiny community is smaller now than it was when VoG and CE were released because people didn't want to buy the Taken King?

Kings Fall is boring. The jumping puzzles have no place in the raid other than to frustrate you. I am a year 2 player and enjoy VOG and Crota more than KF. Raids should be about battles, not jumping. I know there is a puzzle in VOG but it is simple and easy to get through. The weapons are better in the year one raids. KF weapons are trash save two. They are ugly to boot. Hopefully the new raid will be more combat based and entertaining and not too long. Nobody wants a raid that drags on for hours on end. A raid should be 1-1.5 hours max.
