Im not there yet but I have to confess I am very disappointed. Lets break this down. The raids are integral to Moments of Triumph, End Game Questing and they drop the best equipment in the game. They are supposedly the most investing challenging part of the game. They are available to people who either don't work for a living and can play 40 hours a week or people that know 300 other people that play this game. Everyone else, me included, is frozen out of them.
I just spent 2 hours trying to get in a Kings Fall raid group on destinylfg.net to finish quests and moments of triumph. I was honest that I had never done the raid before and I have a mic and am just looking for a bunch of people that don't think the game is national security. No interest. This has happened before. Again and again and again. All of this nice content and I am frozen out of it because I have a life, a full time job and a family that competes with my time. I cannot sit and play 12 hours a day. Its a serious bummer for me to not have access to such content and yet see even more of it get put in the game at every expansion, all tailored to those who have so much time on their hands. I sincerely feel like I am being cheated out of part of the experience.
Below you will find a lot of flames, A lot of people calling me names and so on. I have no plans to respond to them. I will just end by using bungie, "Is it really part of your design to have content that only 2% of the adult player base can access?
-
It sounds like you're running with bad groups. It's not bungie's fault here for once. Not to mention, certain content is only gonna be beat by certain players. It's how literally every game like this is. That's why it's considered endgame content. Regardless, hopefully you can find a group in time to get your MoT finished. It also doesn't require having several hours a week to play or having no life/family. All it takes is one good raid team.

The100 posts Sherpa groups and times around family guys like yourself. Also, don't wait til last minute to learn and do the raid with other people or you'll get left behind so to speak. Sadly I failed to play VoG in y1 when I had the chance and never got to get a vex or voc. I have beat the raid on easy and hard, but I waited too long and getting a team together to farm for vex is next to impossible now even with lfg sites.

5 RespuestasI have 4 kids, a job I work at 50+ hours a week, use LFG almost exclusively to do Raids, and I have 60+ Kings Fall completions. Try harder.

People like you need to join a clan to get started in the raid business
-
I had the same problem, watched a Youtube video of how to run the entire raid (twice) then just told the raid group "i know what im doing" or "ive done it before"...problem solved. Have fun!

Editado por loudenkl: 8/8/2016 9:06:32 PMIf your serious in that you want to do the raid and want a good group - then take look at the100 There are a good numbers of groups that are more than happy to lend you a hand in completing a raid. Here's the community focus article that Bungie did on The100 Community Focus: The 100

You've seen the dark side, haven't you?
-
The problem is not your life or lack of time. It is just you. You do not want to raid, so you make excuses for why you cant. Then blame Bungie
-
Guy what platform are you on
-
Destinylfg isn't for carries. If you want a carry you come here.

2 RespuestasTo bad your on PSN or I'd offer. That said go join A DOD (dads of destiny) group or clan and they will ge tyou set.
-
What times do you play? What system? Have ToM quest " hunger pangs?"
-
Oh man. Here we go again. The "I have a life" excuse. It's getting old. The raid has been out for almost a year. Find a better excuse.

Editado por Quaddity: 8/8/2016 7:44:44 PMFind a clan. That's how you do raids. Your clan should have a night or two where they run raids. If you can't spend a couple of hours a week doing that then why even worry about MoT? You get an ugly emblem if you finish it IMO. Do the rest of it for the shaders. When I cared about raiding my family knew on Tuesday nights I was going to be playing Destiny for a few hours.
-
Try to find a clan. Try reddit as well, there are a lot of helpful people on there.

I have a family and full time work, I feel your pain, it is not easy to find the time and when you do you need the right team. However I use lfg with great success and done all raids multiple times. Just hit me up in a couple of weeks and I will help you out! I usually play between 11 pm to 2 am GMT ! Cheers

I work 52 hours a week and still manage to play a ton.
-
5 RespuestasAt least its not wow where 1% of the player base step foot in a raid and even less complete it

I have a full time job that I work 50 - 60 hours a week at. I also have almost no time on weekends to play, except at night. I manage to run all the content I want in the limited time I have. The way I do this is I found a clan that fits my personality and schedule. It works out quite well, and I always have as much help as I need, and I can often help others do what they need. You might want to check out the Dads of Destiny group, they have clans on all systems, and definitely understand that family comes first. You say you've been playing actively for about 3.5 months. You've got about 380 hours played. I've been playing since the beginning of November, and I've got about 530 hours played. That puts me at about 2 hours per day, and you at about 3.5 hours per day. There are ways to find the time to do these things, and if I can find the time, so can you.

2 Respuestas
They are available to people who either don't work for a living and can play 40 hours a week or people that know 300 other people that play this game. Everyone else, me included, is frozen out of them.
what i find funny is all i do is raid. i have a clan that raids every tuesday night. so every tuesday night i spend 3-4 hours raiding, completing it on all 3 characters. so your statement is so wrong. i spend @4 hours a week on this game. not 40. i don't have 300 friends that play this game, i have a dedicated 6-8. all you need is 5 other people to do the raid. not 395. as a side note, i hate PvP in this game. have since day one. its flawed at its core. but i don't post topics about how crappy it is that i have to do it to get the moments done. either do the raid, or don't complete the moments, which ever is more important to you, but just stop crying about it.

2 RespuestasHit me up me i i need to finish mine this week

1 RespuestaI'm on ps4, only done it once. I can run it with you if you ever need someone. I kind of have the same problem with finding a team. No one wants inexperienced players
-
4 RespuestasYou gotta make time man. I work full time and have a wife and 2 kids and still managed to do it all at least a few times. I get Wednesday after work for a few hours to do random stuff and i stay up after my family goes to sleep on the weekends for the longer activities. That means i get 3 days a week i play. Maybe 12 hours total. Add me if you want and i might be able to help you if you are on when i am. Either way, don't give up and good luck.

This thread is irrelevant and the OP is clueless. To all of whom who read this, I am sorry. If you did TL:DR good! now leave :)

What platform you on, I could probably get my crew together depending on what time youre on

2 RespuestasAll it takes is making a few friends - those friends network you to others - and before you know it you're getting invited to raids weekly. The big problem now is that most folks that are good at TTK raid don't need to play it. Their gear is all upgraded to 335 and they are bored. You may see them during IB weeks or playing ToO, but by and large they are not playing and won't put significant time in again until RoI drops. This leaves you with folks in your same boat - they are not fully leveled up and need hard raid completions. They are looking for the vets to run with them and carry them through. As you've seen in other replies, there are folks who will do this and patiently teach the ropes, but that training is much easier in normal mode. My suggestion is to learn the raid in normal mode, get your light up so you don't die easily, then try hard raids. Yr 2 MoT consist of 2 shaders and 2 emblems. Within a few weeks you won't even see people using them as new ones will be earned from RoI. I'm 52, married, have a full time job, and still manage to be able to raid with friends when I've got the time. Am I a 2 percenter?
