It's one of those weapons that actually takes a lil bit of skill to master.

1 RespuestaAlright I use this gun all the time in trials and even casual PVP. To those who question why anyone would use it: At range it can one shot with a head shot, greater than any other secondary shotgun, especially with a moving target. A Conspiracy Theory struggles with targets moving perpendicular to the shot angle. The second reason is two shot body shot with very high RoF. An Invective is a two shot body shot but no real chance at a one shot kill. Chappy is the best of both worlds, it can one shot and has the RoF to bail you out in case of a missed head shot. My advise is to use it for an extended period of time and aim for head shots. You will be surprised at its range, and RoF

Its pretty good, just not my kind of gun

It is my personal favorite shotgun. More so than PC+1 which I haven't gotten for a while since I dismantled a bad roll, and more so than CT-D. The feeling as I casually stroll up to an AFK during a mayhem clash? Hell I took my time. Lining up the shot and descoping as if I changed my mind. Then ADS again and then aim for the forehead instead of center mass. Made my day.
Seriously though, if you get the weapon you have to want to practice with it and get better
I take it out of my vault and play around with the chaperone in casual games, it's still a really good gun.

Don't see why you would use it over the quest conspiracy theory unless you're just planning to screw around.
-
If you can aim, it can challenge universal remote.
-
Not terrible, but not great. Thanks the range nerfs, you might as well just use a Conspiracy Theory or Party Crasher if you have the accuracy to make The Chaperone work.
-
I love it. Getting those long range head shots is so satisfying, plus the quick rate of fire makes it easy to melt people fast
-
It's GREAT if you get head shots... But the first time someone rushes you and you pop them in the chest and they don't die you'll wonder to yourself why you're not using a normal SG...

5 RespuestasFor a shotgun that's supposed to have more range and precision due to the slug/single projectile it fires, the Chaperone...kinda blows. Don't get me wrong it was an awesome Idea for an exotic, but the range just isn't there, and it still has the inconsistency of regular shotguns, as far as a shot you aimed perfectly registers as a body shot (or not at all). Plus, why use an Exotic shotgun that requires precision to be effective when there's at least 2 that are just as deadly at range with body shots, and countless legendaries?

I -blam!-ing love it. Yes, you need to land your headshots. However, if you're landing those headshots, you can out distance every other shotgun in the game, especially with Roadborn active.

4 RespuestasI think it's a very fun weapon and the user can have alot of success with it. In the higher stages of Destiny it's not a viable option, simply because the gun requires a headshot to secure the kill when other shotguns can do it with a body shot. Still I'm personally glad I got it and brought it to 335, it reminds me of Telesto.
