Shotguns in crucible are everywhere ?? Really ??
So I suppose this is down to experience of matches that you and I play in the crucible but I've watched several YouTube videos recently from, apparently, well known streamers and youtubers that tell me shotguns are everywhere.
But I'm not seeing it.
Sure there are a few and yesterday I got shotgunned several times by a party crasher but I didn't see everyone using one.
A couple of Thorns, Soulstealers Claw, plan C, Red Death, Red Spectre, several Monte Carlos...but very few running universal remote or switching to shotguns as secondary weapons..
Am I just playing games where the shotgun isn't being used much or is this a case of streamers and youtubers making some kind of point they think Bungie will listen to...as they seem only to listen to a few select people and not the masses ?

There's only 4 choices and thousands of players...odds are there are a lot of shotguns being used. Plus they're the easiest secondary to use, which is why I use them

1 RespuestaIt could just a per region thing. When most were complaining about only seeing snipers, all I saw mostly shotguns with a sprinkling of snipers.

1 RespuestaThe streamers and content creators have all damn day to master sniping, which is a series of techniques that are "hard to play, easy to master". Once the player gets a handle over a few simple concepts associated with sniping, they enjoy complete dominance over players who don't snipe, and players who have not learned the "tricks". Shotguns have always threatened that dominance, and more so now that primaries are complete shit. Of course streamers want any form of CQC removed. Killing shotguns will allow snipers to rule the game at all ranges, effectively turning the game into the same slow paced slot machine of who shot first for the casuals, with elite snipers on top(due to their secret knowledge on how to consistently manipulate aim assist). Shotguns are used in mass because the majority of players like to actually engage in combat, and with Autos being crap outside of DOP(which is behind a wall of elitism), they are the only valid choice.

2 RespuestasGame mode? Most streamers seem to stick to 3s, rumble and trials. 6v6 is considered casual land. A quick look at Guardian.gg will demonstrate that the weapon breakdown from mode to mode varies a lot. Console? Believe it or not, Xbox users and PS4 users adapt slightly differently to the changing meta. They follow a similar pattern but I guess things like stick placement make some guns easier to control on one console than the other. Map? Obviously if you have been on a lot of small maps you would have seen more shotguns, on larger maps or less objective focussed maps there tend to be less. Other than that it is probably just luck. I personally have seen loads of Juggernaut titans using Universal Remote and No Backup Plans. They are brutal and pretty much always shielded. A playstyle adjustment is definitely needed to beat them. They aren't OP though, its just a combination of perks and exotics that has just recently been popularised - probably by just a few of the same streamers and tubers who are moaning about it...

3 RespuestasI've seen an incredible variety,shotguns(most secondaries,almost no Universal Remotes),some fusion rifles and snipers(the ones that pisses me off the most) Only saw 1 guy using a pistol since last Wednesday,kinda sad to be honest

Meh. Shotties have been messed up pretty good by cry babies. They are completely useless to me in PvE, and I usually need full auto on my shotties because lately I've almost always needed a follow up shot. They really need more range. (I use Her Champion)

I don't mind the game right now. Fairly decent blend of weapons. There are a couple that still do better than others, but I can work around that in a 6v6.

Editado por Elmo Man: 8/1/2016 11:57:17 AMThe problem isnt the shotguns, its the absurd abilities capable of reducing the range to the opponent significantly in an incredible short time frame. Blink and titan skating. Add in a juggernaut shield and a god roll shotgun. By nerfing primaries 'TTK' has created an environment were rushing with a shotgun is very forgiving.
