Tied to a chair, in a dark room, a man with a pistol keeps asking you questions you don't know the answer to, making it obvious his patience is running out. Once he was finally convinced you actually didn't know anything, he held his gun to your head, and said your usefulness is at an end.
In your last few moment of life, you closed your eyes, and heard the gunshot fire.
..To your amazement.. You weren't dead. A few seconds later, you opened your eyes to find yourself in an amazing world.. As you celebrated your life being spared, you quickly realized not everything was so peachy..
Good evening everybody! This is Aifos, coming to you a-live fromnthe soon-to-be-former totallnotkidnappingpeopletosendthemtofictionalworlds hub, how y'all doing tonight?
"Hmph.. You've been posting a lot lately, haven't you?"
Yes. Anyhow, got another fiction/reality crossover question for you all!
"Tl;dr?"
This is my point!
You have just been teleported into a video game of your choosing, however, in this timeline, the protagonist has died, and you are tasked with replacing them.
Rules:
1: You get the protagonist's guide partner (not combat partner), if they had one. (Navi, Cortana, etc.)
2: You do not immediately get their aresenal, or connections (replacing Chief=/=being in the UNSC).
3: The world must have some sort of disaster going on. (no Harvest Moon-type games)
4: You only have 1 life
5: Game's logic overrides your own (you gots an HP bar!)
6: That being said, you are human. (Halo Wars=/=mysterious force guiding army)
7: You cannot avoid saving the world.
8: You do not get their powers.
9. You do not get any powers, unless they'd be available to a normal person
Note: despite rule 7, you can actually decide to be evil. That being said, if you chose Skyrim, and decided to be evil, and join Alduin, you--like everyone else--would be consumed by him.
My answer:
Honestly, I'd have to go with something I could get a team in. I'm a rather pathetic person, honestly, and there's no way I coud save the world on my own.
Potentially, if I went into LoZ: Majora's Mask I'd have a decent shot. Link is just a kid, after all, and the masks'd give me plenty of strength. That being said, I don't know how to play an ocarina, so even if I could recover it from Link's corpse, I'd probably run out of time.
I could see me having a small shot at not dying in Skullgirls, if I could recruit some of the characters onto my side. I'd have to find them first, though and even if I did, they might not stand a chance with whatever character I replaced dead, if they'd join me in the first place.
Honestly, I probably wouldn't stand a chance anywhere, so I'd probably just go into Elder Scrolls, and see if I can learn magic before my inevitable death. :p
2 RespuestasElder Scrolls. Specifically Skyrim. Because if I just do nothing besides chop wood and hunt nothing will happen. Checkm8.
-
Easy. Pokémon.

2 RespuestasHmm so in accordance with your rules, since I see a loop hole. The world of Final Fantasy 7 Remaster, with the powers and skills of Starkiller from The Force unleashed 2. You said I couldn't have the protagonists powers and skills, but you said nothing of being able to have the powers and skills of another character.

15 RespuestasToo many damn restrictions. What's the point in replacing a protagonist if you don't even have their powers and abilities

Either MGSV:TPP or MGS3 snake eater

4 RespuestasSkyrim, become vampire lord and feed on the blood of dragons!

1 RespuestaAlrighty, this here has got me thinking. Dark Souls untouched by the Dark Sign sounds interesting, although I'd probably end up dead at some point at the hands of some filthy undead bastard. Splatoon would certainly be cool, especially if the weapons operate as I think they do. Affecting only ink-based life forms and not being effective against anything else. Basically becoming a walking tank if given proper gear. Mass Effect? Well having no connections would throw a wrench in that relatively quickly. I can only imagine the Council's reaction to Shepard being replaced by a small, lanky kid with no recommendations. Dead Space? How about no? Fallout would probably end with me in some Deathclaw's cave as a mangled pile of meat. I'd probably go Dark Souls, if not to go for a soul level 0 no deaths run. Not to mention I'll probably just sit with Yorshka and explain that a human doesn't have wings nor is capable of flight through normal means(no amount of butterfly wings can make you glide or fly!)

1 RespuestaThe Champion of Ash. What fun that would be!

I thought real hard on this one, so I decided to choose the one I have the highest chance of living a full life. Pokemon. Hoenn region to be exact.

2 RespuestasDoes Pokemon count, cause if so I'm going with the least -blam!-ed up universe
-
The God Eater world. I always found fighting these monsters to be surprisingly badass. Especially the weapons.
A SWORD THAT CHANGES INTO A GUN THAT CHANGES INTO A DEMON WITH A SHIELD.
1 RespuestaEven though I hate this game I'd have to choose Destiny as a warlock so I can just resurrect my self :)

Editado por T0tal Warri0r: 8/3/2016 12:21:25 PMDammit. Why do I have to replace Chris Redfield and go through the entire umbrella Mansion
-
Fire Emblem, either fates or awakening (if fates the hoshido route)
-
1 RespuestaWait, I have to die?
-
1 RespuestaDark Souls. If I'm going down, I'm going down fighting a giant ass monster. I'm really good at swordplay irl anyway, so I would stand a better chance than most at least...

4 Respuestas
8: You do not get their powers.
So what your saying is I can't pick Persona 4 because I won't have a Persona? Aww...welp looks like that world's going to die. Maybe the other characters can save it without the main protagonist. Or can I pick it and just end up going to school and making friends until the inevitable demise of the world?
Because no Persona, no win in fights.
2 RespuestasI picked a random character from all the lore i know of in the series i like. I got Ollanius Pious. Well, this should be easy.
