Despite what fallout says, "war" has changed. The wars of the 1700-1800's taught us that set, rigid battle formations were a bad idea. WWI taught us that trench warfare was a bad idea. WWII taught us that Brinkmanship was somewhat effective against large powers. The "War on Terror" has shown us the difficulty of crushing small, remote groups that interlace with larger society. Cyberwarfare and drones, too, have changed the playing field, allowing us to fight remotely in some capacity. WWIII will not be recognizable in comparison to it's predecessors. Think of how many lives are lost every day in conflicts around the world right now? Maybe the question isn't when will WWIII start but when DID it start?
