Editado por tjustie: 7/19/2016 5:07:00 PMYeah, that link did nothing to dispute what I said. All it did was disagree with Catholic practices. I've gone to a Catholic church for 18 years. Mary is not worshipped or considered a goddess. You're the one that needs to brush up on your Catholicism, bud. http://www.catholic.com/tracts/saint-worship http://www.americancatholic.org/Features/customs/rosary/mary_worship.asp

She certainly is. Catholics believe she's equal with Jesus. They call her a goddess by default.

Editado por tjustie: 7/19/2016 5:18:58 PMTry reading the links and learning what Catholics actually believe before saying stuff like that, because that's not even close to being true. You have no idea what you're taking about. Mary is not considered a goddess. Period. She's considered a normal woman who was given an extraordinary role by god, and as such is venerated, not worshipped, venerated. The internet is a vast thing. Try using it and learning something (from catholic sources). http://bustedhalo.com/questionbox/do-catholics-pray-to-mary-do-they-consider-her-a-deity

I've already attended Catholic schools, taken Theology courses, attended Mass, and argued with Theology teachers on this. Catholicism is a cult, period. It contains so many unbiblical doctrines it's not even funny. Just off the top of my head: 1. Calling anyone, besides God, "father." 2. Praying to Mary (or anyone else) instead of Jesus. 3. Purgatory. 4. The Apocrypha. 5. The Catechism. 6. The lie that "Peter founded the Catholic Church." 7. "Saints." 8. The lie known as "The Pope." All garbage that isn't found anywhere in the 66 books of the bible. All garbage that the Catholic Church literally just made up.

I'm not arguing about any of that stuff. I'm telling you that Mary isn't considered a goddess and that she isn't worshipped. That's a fact and as far as I'm going.

But my original point still stands. Catholicism =/= Christianity
