And to be honest, I'm kinda proud. Bought my own Xbox 1 with my own money. Man it's gonna suck when I get out of college and try to get a job and a house/apartment of my own. But yeah, movin up in the world I guess.

2 RespuestasI thought you bought $200 worth of underwear. Oh well.

Editado por Cultmeister: 7/21/2016 8:18:34 AMI bought an iPhone 6s Plus the other day straight from Apple. £789 Because -blam!- contracts. I've paid all that money now but I'm on a bog-standard £9.99 sim plan that I can cancel whenever, instead of being contractually obligated to pay £30 every month for the next 3 years. That's probably the most I've ever paid directly for anything.

8 RespuestasOh. You should have gotten a PS4.

1 RespuestaMy biggest purchase was a PC I put together myself. It was in the $650-$700 range.

You should be proud. It's easy to let money burn a hole through your pocket. Having a goal in mind, saving and finally making a substantial purchase is commendable. Enjoy your investment.

5 RespuestasEditado por CaptKrunch: 7/20/2016 3:51:19 PMCongrats! It may seem simple to some but it's a good start. I truly to recommend getting a job and grinding it out. If you make $400 a week, put away $200. I don't care what you do with the rest, burn it. At the end of the year you'll have over $10000 saved up. If you work through 4 years of college you'll have around $42000. That's not even considering the fact that it is not out of question that you can make and save more if you get the proper job. Saving your money is an important habit, maybe even a skill. Don't let your years in college go to waste just trying to get your degree.

Damn dude, great investment

Good job! I'm not out of my parents' house yet either, and I am also planning on making the biggest purchase of my life. Once I save up the money, I'm probably buying a .270.

4 RespuestasRight on man. It's a great feeling making good purchases with your hard earned cash. I just bought a bag of Dewalt power tools that I'm pretty happy about.

8 RespuestasIt's a start. Just a tip for major purchases, if the lender is trying to get you to get a larger loan than you can afford and won't give you what you can, walk out. A typical home mortgage payment is 1% of the total loan. $100k loan is about $1k per month. Avoid credit cards like the plague. Take a few business courses regardless of major. You're welcome.

2 RespuestasThank goodness it was not $200 dollars worth of underwear.

4 RespuestasYeah, I also just made the largest purchase of my life today, 4 new tires for our/my car
$559
