"Winston is so bad."
I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say this. It baffles me when they do.
Recently tonight we were playing King of the Hill on Lijiang Tower (competitive) and I chose Winston like I usually do for KotH. What happens? A random guy instantly starts asking me to switch my character. Now I usually have my mic off but I turned it on and told him to: "Just watch."
We go to 5 rounds and I end up with 81 eliminations and over 45 Obj kills. My kill participation was over 50%.
I don't understand how people seriously think a Hero is not worth using because they have low damage. Winston is a [i][b]team player[/b][/i], he doesn't thrive solo but instead with his team. A Winston is such an important part of a KotH team, and he deserves more credit than he gets.

I love using winston's leap ability to get away from a fatal situation. His bubble shield is useful as well when controlling a point

He has potential, but I would like to see his shield get just a little more health, it breaks so easily.

Counters those back-line, low health heroes well, has survivability even if getting flanked, ect. He's on par with a good zarya, if you're great with him. He also shoots directly through reindharts shield.

I'm not a huge fan of Winston. Probably for the fact he's my least played and enjoy other Heroes who fit my play style

6 RespuestasWinston is pretty good and if I was in your team I would not said anything as Winston actually makes the enemy team go for hin first and I am genii, I will eliminate them before they kill you but if it was 2 Winston I would definitely ask one of you to switch

2 Respuestas99% of overwatch players don't understand team mechanics. Which is why I don't play that much anymore. Nobody wants to heal or stay as a team. It's all about that lone Hancock and gendick play.

Well they are adding a hero limit because people are running double lucio, double winston and double tracer. So winston can't be that bad

Winston is op. Why else does he win so much?

Winston and mercy combo can be very devastating. Bubble keeps mercy alive and the dmg buff lightning wrecks before bubble can drop on a point.

I'm normally already near death when I get killed by a Winston, otherwise I normally wreck him. Sometimes even in his own bubble. He is fun to use though.

6 RespuestasA 2 year old could main Winston, that guy should be happy someone chose him. When someone on my team chooses Winston I gain hope of winning because he's so cheap. Now if someone were to choose Widowmaker, I'll automatically think, God I hope this guy knows what he's doin...

We could not capture the point due to snipers, Lucio, Bastion, and two Tjorborn. After I got in their, I used primal rage to destroy Bastion and the turrets and threw the Tjorborn players, Lucio and Hanzo into the street so my team could slaughter them. Likewise, I hate it when people say Zenyatta is bad. Does 6,000 healing and 32 kills sound bad to you?

4 RespuestasWinston is a great disruptor, distractor, and contester. Players just expect tank heroes to be unkillable, immovable killing machines.

5 RespuestasExactly. He is amazing when you use him correctly. Also the kill participation number is never correct. My friend once got a 95% kill participation while i got over 30 kills and my other friend the same.

Winston is my go-to contester. It's all about mechanics. I still play a lot of Roadhog despite mechanics though... Hooking people is so satisfying!!
