Oh hey a sniper, let me jus-
*Gets sniped*
You know, I never minded snipers but they have become a problem in destiny lately. Everytime I go one on one with a sniper at close to medium range I die 90% of the time. And trust me I avoid sniper lanes as much as possible but a sniper should not be able to kill you when you're shoving bullets down their throat at close range.
When you shoot at a sniper they are supposed to flinch not immediatly kill you. I get that people get lucky but this isn't luck. Snipers really need to be adjusted in destiny. My suggestion to adjusting the sniper class is to increase the flinch when shot or automatically zoom out, increase the zoom of snipers so it's more difficult to kill at short-medium range, and increase the amount of time it takes to aim down sights.

I agree. Getting sniped after landing every single shot on them is far too frequent to be luck. I'm a huge fan of the halo descoping mechanics but I don't think it would work in destiny since you hold down to ADS instead of toggle. Plus it would really hurt pve.

It's hilarious that people believe there is no flinch. The flinch stops when you stop hitting them, so dont miss your shots or you deserve to get sniped

Just last week when I was playing I was thinking the same thing. It never used to really bother me but if you come up against a good sniper,regardless if your doing damage, they tend to always get headshots. Bring back hcr to mida. Was the only gun that could counter consistently pre nerf

Just got done playing a match of rift on one of the worst maps Memento and I was pelting a player in the head with my machine gun only to have the fcker headshot me. I don't get pissed easy but at this point it's ridiculous how snipers can get pelted and still get a head shot off, it should not happen as much as it does.

1 RespuestaYou don't need to avoid lanes you just need to be able to deal with them. Sliding into the lane and under their reticle will make them miss 99% of the time and it's basically impossible if you start shooting at them

You can counter your own flinch by barely pressing down on the R stick. I can have Mida getting plowed on me and I can headshot them with NLB by countering the flinch a little bit.

Getting shot does affect your aim when ads, some people are good enough to handle the scope flinch. It's just like controlling recoil on a full auto gun

2 RespuestasThey already did all those changes, now you actually need perks to be able to aggressively snipe [i]consistently[/i]. Sniping well should be rewarded. However, sniping badly should be punished. Keep everything the way it is but reduce body shot damage in pvp by at least 50%. If I body someone I shouldn't be able to pull out my primary and finish them off, all while they're shooting at me, I should be dead.

Nope, the reason snipers can get those shots is because the reticle snaps back on target after flinch. Get rid of the snap back and the problem would be solved.

...maybe have sway when snipers move? It will be greatly affect their accuracy due to the fact that they're not standing still. I like snipers, but if they really are going to nerf them, nerf them reasonably...
