Bungie just announced that they will be conducting a matchmaking test this afternoon in the Control playlist.
Seems they will be favoring connection based matchmaking for this test, so go play a couple matches after they announce the settings are in place! See how the altered matchmaking settings affect your gameplay experience.
For those who have cursed the name of SBMM for months, do you think this will improve your experience? For those who haven't been opposed to it, what do you expect to happen after the community sounds off on the issue post test?
The duration of the test will be determined by the reactions of the community, so be vocal! I hope everyone has a great day of capturing the zones!

1 RespuestaThis really annoys me that bungie is doing this. The minority of crucible who are extremely good: 1.5kd and onwards are the ones who will benefit, and people like me will suffer. Since all the destiny youtubers have a good kd basically, they have voiced their opinion in videos and then people listen to them and start saying "get rid of sbmm bungie, nKuch said its bad." If bungie could provide us with info and graphs and THEN let us decide what we want to do, I wouldn't mind cause then it might be an accurate vote of if we want sbmm or if we don't.

1 Respuesta"Disregard that Rise of Iron reveal we made last month, we've scrapped it and pooled our resources to buy a new toaster oven"
-
1 RespuestaBungie, have you tried turning if off and then on again?

2 RespuestasEditado por jnikoley: 7/6/2016 10:10:33 PMThe test settings went live just a few minutes ago. Four minutes later, they reverted them back. Apparently, they had "issues". https://twitter.com/bungie/status/750809716448698368 Edit: Deej posted on the main board that matchmaking settings were live, but it was almost immediately taken down, probably due to the "issues".

Did they delay the test?
-
Are you really asking for opinions when we have not even had enough time to form one? The logic here...

3 Respuestas
capturing the zones!
No. You CONTROL the Zones (specifically, the Spawn and B). That's why it's called Control and not Capture.

5 RespuestasI just played in Control, and it was awful. Someone fron the enemy team did a streak of 10 twice. Check out my Warlock on Crucible.
-
3 RespuestasIt's been canceled... Disregard last. Early testing revealed some issues. Test postponed. Stand by and stay tuned...
-
2 RespuestasHas it started yet...i got tired of waiting???
-
2 RespuestasAs playing on control PvP? What about trials because lot players had problem with it and why not get it test?
-
5 RespuestasIs it on right now?
-
Bungie has no intention of listening. If they had, they would have reverted matchmaking long ago. Waste your time at your own risk.
-
I hope they do nothing, everyone complains or applauds depending on point of view. Bungie laughs harder than ever.
To fix your own problems you all need a 0.9 kd, like. I hardly ever see the poor connections of which you speak
-
7 RespuestasIt's not gonna help until it goes back to year 1 matchmaking. No matter what they do as long as there is any amount of sbmm we will still run into large amounts of lag.
-
5 RespuestasSugar Water......those that think SBMM is evil will come back saying it was SOOOOO much better, people who like SBMM will say they were matched with players 100 time better then them every match. Meanwhile Bungie dosnt change a thing and sits back and laughs.
-
The community will never be happy lol. I wish I knew when they was turning it on tho I'll defo try it out if it's a decent time for us in the uk.
-
I doubt it will fix much. I just want people to die when I shoot them in the face
-
10 RespuestasMore of the same adjustment bullshit that they have been doing for months now, SBMM will still be there.
-
Just upgrade the servers..... Then we get SBMM and a good connection to the servers
-
8 RespuestasJust as long as it gets rid of SBMM I'm good with that.
-
I stopped playing PvP a while ago. Hope the adjustments help some people.

4 RespuestasEditado por Kilo: 7/6/2016 9:36:42 PMI don't think it's live yet. And it sounds like they're shortening the time it takes for the MM to widen its skill range. Connection is unchanged
-
3 RespuestasTo me, it sounds like a veiled attempt at getting rid of SBMM. Which is fine to me.
-
1 RespuestaNo official statement on this change being "turned on" though
-
Well its about time to start farming these scrubs in pvp again
