After E3 this year I was curious. "If ALL of the new Xbox One exclusives are coming out for PC as well, not only does Microsoft technically have no new exclusives at all, you can just get the better port on the PC instead and don't need an Xbox. I'm concerned. Is this the future for Xbox we need? What are your thoughts? Is this a good move for Microsoft or will this hurt Xbox more than anything?

I regret purchasing my Xbone, I'd rather have just upgraded my pc.

I mean, worms wmd is getting a cool xbox skins pre order, but that's all I can think of
-
I'm honestly not sure, my next purchase will be No Man's Sky for my Microsoft surface pro 4 and that is all I'm really excited for besides bf1. Just get a PC and enjoy the offerings of steam.
-
Right now no. Later maybe. But if you really want one I'd suggest getting one at Walmart as they are having sales all month to compete with Amazon prime
-
Wait till Scorpio or slim come out before you buy one if you want one
-
I'm still wondering why I wasted money on a 360 when it was new just to play the gears of war series. I think I'll wait until the new Xbox is less than 200$

No reason to get the Scorpio.
-
The only reason to get an Xbox One now is to save money.

4 Respuestasthey have backtracked and clarified. you're not getting all xbox one games on PC. you're only getting the special "play anywhere" digital only editions of games in the program, which includes all games MS had on stage at E3. these games are digital only and require a linked account to be registered in the windows store that is also your xbox live account. why? because they f***ed up hard when they did quantum whatever's release and gave people a windows copy of the game and the xbox copy instead of forcing them to be linked to the same account. so basically people got two copies of the game, and sold one for profit, resulting in a microsoft financial loss. this is their "fix" for their "problem". and to answer your question, if you are the market for a Xbox One, no i would not reccomend that you buy one currently. in a year, the project scorpio will be out, and will be much much much more powerrful than the current console is and also more expensive. sure it has backwards compatibility to the current xbone games, though you should save your money. eventually, the current xbones will be obsolete and the scorpio will be the supported version so games will be made for that.

As someone that has both ps4 and xb1 I would say no. Unless they have an exclusive you simply gotta have, it's not worth it.

I say no because scorpio next year

Editado por Azraels Sorrow: 7/12/2016 3:45:04 PMYes because I am not getting a PS and have never had an interest in PC gaming. Also, in regards to the play anywhere you went from 20 million + consoles to buy their games to 20 million + potentially every person who is using Windows 10 as an OS. No one really makes money on hardware. It's about software sales

Yes. This model may bring an end to exclusive games. We could eventually see all games on all consoles or PC. As someone who grew up with gaming and owned many different consoles I have never liked the whole console war concept, and had Playstation, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and a PC all at the same time. I can now imagine owning just a PC and playing Uncharted or a Zelda game next to a Halo game all together on one platform. A console could still exist as well, a cosole is a computer itself. Just one that was mainly built for gaming. Also I can see that games players won't be divided by which console players are on. Instead of 100,000 players playing Battlefield in my region on xbox, now I may have 300,000 players in that region on all consoles playing together.

19 RespuestasEditado por moist nana: 7/12/2016 11:07:53 AMFck No. Microsoft pretty much shafted it's entirety of console ONLY gamers. To get the most out of your Xbox you'll want a PC aswell? If you have a PC then why the hell would you wanto pay for XBL?

4 RespuestasEditado por wojo55: 7/11/2016 11:00:00 PMI was going to buy a Scorpio till I saw the xbox s or whatever will upscale to 4k. Somewhat unrelated I know. Doesn't matter what they do I'll never buy a fps on PC. To many modders ruin lobbies and take the fun out of it. The older the game gets the worse it becomes. This holds true on console too but not nearly to same capacity as PC. I game just as much on my PC as my console too. Just getting ahead of any replies I get if any.
-
Even though it's on pc you're still buying a game that has specs for console
-
Microsoft now coming out and saying not all their games are "Play Anywhere" is proof to me that their dedication, once again, is half hearted towards PC gaming because they know they need to have games you can only play on Xbox One. This whole thing is just to push Windows 10 adoption.
-
I say save up enough money to get all the consoles you can.
-
Id wait for xbone one s
-
Huge problem with cheating on PC. I was going to get the xbone slim, but might as well wait for the Scorpio now.

1 RespuestaIf you don't want to fiddle around with computers, I suppose consoles are the better option.

5 RespuestasEditado por Xmark120: 7/10/2016 12:26:16 PMAs someone who owns all the systems from last gen, with the Xbone and PS4 in this gen, I would say that the Xbone has the best exclusives ( Gears of war and Halo ). Other than that, although the PS4 has a better resolution in most games, the Xbone has better textures.
