I find it really intriguing that all other weapons or abilities that have had unbalanced statistics like this get nerfed into oblivion but sniper rifles (and res sniping) seem to be immune to the destiny nerf hammer.
dont get me wrong, i love using snipers (as do we all) but stop nerfing stuff and then quote statistics as the reason behind the nerf, if unbalanced stats were a legitimate reason, why are you not looking at sniper rifles? (I know its hard to let go seeing as the sniper has been your bread and butter since halo, and it is the king of fps weapons everywhere) sniper rifles also reward the connection cheats out there, I just want a level playing field for all and to be able to compete, sick of copping hits through walls/doors, doors not opening etc.
I know I'm not alone here.

Sniper rifles need to be first shot advantage. If they get the first round off and get you that's fair. But if I can lay scout rifle hits in first then the sniper should be pressured and forced to disengage. Right now Snipers are firing through that pressure a bit too easily. Even moreso with a perk like Unflinching.

They need a double nerf. Op hit it on the mark. The most stupid ib matches I had were the ones where one team was sitting in the spawm sniping. Not a whole lot of ways to counter that. But also it os just boring. That should not be a thing in destiny. You should always have to run around and actually foght for kills.

I think just starting with zero special would help a lot. Force teams to move around and actually fight instead of hard scoping doors.

No Radar and you start with No special or Heavy; After that have both heavy and Special generate once. Specifically, Snipers would get four rounds and shotguns would get three rounds! Makes primaries the go to weapons of choice and players must now be more strategic with their specials. Only using them to turn the tide of battle or take on that opponent causing your team the most trouble!

In Elimination/Trials Snipers will always be king even if they nerfed them(which i dont think they will do). Its just the nature of the game type, you are always going to try get the kill at range which is less risky than running in.

There's no nerf incoming because no nerf is needed. What IS needed is buffs in other areas.

1 RespuestaOnly way to nerf snipers without making them useless is to buff armor stats and shields on rez but they instead nerfed rez shields and armor stats so they just made a huge buff for snipers. Now low impact snipers rez snipe and high impact snipers bring you to one shot range where snipers like black hammer used to put you. Take off hidden hand who cares the aim assist comes from the scopes hidden hand is only good if you get a crappy scope.

The reason people use them is because of how powerful they feel. The scopes you can get for them are fascinating, and with the right perks you can have a beast role. Plus with the new weapon founders coming in RoI there will be even more choices. And if snipers get nerfed in PvE then you know people literally throw fits over it on the forums.

Just start people with a small amount of special ammo and don't give them any more.

They are a much smaller % of kills in most crucible activities. They need to figure something out, but needing an entire weapon class because of 1 game mode is a bad idea

I don't think sniper need to be touched Beside Bring aim assist to 40 max High impact snipers do 120 to body And low do 100 Mostly just buff shotguns

No short-range, easy snap-shooting from 5m away scopes. Shotguns: Remove all max-range perks. Keeps them high-risk/high-reward Fusion rifles: Mixed feelings. They're definitely not able to kill at sniper range, and will certainly fail against shotguns at close range. Sidearms: Idk how the -blam!- some of you guys do it, but I say gg to getting kills with one; you're free to teabag my crying, shamed corpse for years to come. Who knows, maybe one day players will play Crucible without using their special as a primary.

My main gripe is the quick coping and spawnkilling (I know it's not just snipers but, happens more often with them). If two people are about to be in a firefight, I don't see how it should be possible for someone to switch to a sniper, zoom in and headshot the other when they're practically within shotgun range. They should be the kings of long range combat, not close quarters combat. Other than that, I don't have any real problem with them.

There needs to be sway when hard scoping flinch under fire. Quick scoping someone from 2 feet away should be nerfed It is just stupid that a hand cannon struggles to register a hit at 2 feet but a sniper can one shot quick scope.
