Community Focus Suggestion
PS Gamertag: galford72043
You may have heard of this player from his recent trending post (linked below). He's 73 years old and Destiny was the first video game he ever played. He's been playing since Christmas 2014, and despite bad eyesight and reflexes, as well as a nerve condition, he was recently able to get top score in an Iron Banner match. I don't know about you guys, but I think his story would be really inspiring to hear. Here's his post:

I've never suggested anyone for Community Focus before, so hopefully I did this right! If you want to hear Galford's story too, like and comment below!
Edit: I saw a few comments about this and just wanted to add that I also think it would be great if instead of the Community Focus always being on a YouTuber or someone who spent days making something amazing, occasionally there was a regular player who just has a cool story.

Galford72043 is an awesome guardian, after the iron banner post had came out i was instantly wanting to help this man hit the y2 MoT still trying every chance i see him on. This man is good people. Has never had a negative thin to say. And I'm glad I added him as a friend... also....if he gets on today im gonna see if he needs KF done and ill need 4 more souls to do this....

met my friend kane 4yrs ago before Destiny during the C.O.D days. This guy has been a great player, for the community of Destiny. Helps and teaches noobs achieve challenges modes, raids, weeklys, court of Oryx, etc. But what makes kane a great dude is his willingness to go out of his way to help players in real life. When I met K anew i was on the 360. I dont have a lot of money but im a hardcore gamer saving up for the next dlc,or console. Kane knew this and soon as i got my first Xb1, Kane mailed me two games to trade in so i could play on xbox1 with our normal crew. Fast forward to now and my buddy is still helping out players get to that next level. He helped out a good friend of ours that we met on Destiny get to that next edge of pvp. Kane generous packed a box of goodies including an XB1 elite controller, twinkies, cheetoes, etc and sent them clear across the world so our friend Whippy could enjoy some of the finer things that the USA has to offer. Always helpin and never asking for anything...EVER. in my opinion Kane should be a focus for Destiny as he represents what the Guardians really stand for.... HONOR, Comradery among brothers, And to help even if it puts his stats at risk #communityfocus

1 RespuestaI agree. Galford's story would be an inspiration for those older players who like to play Destiny and other games. I think it helps avoid alzheimer's and boredom. I am 77 and have been playing Destiny from the beginning. All 3 characters @335 now. Just waiting for the rise of Iron. Just took a break to play The division and DOOM.

I posted that to Cozmo, DeeJ & Bungie yesterday on Twitter about this. Well the link to his original thread. But I am not a streamer, so I don't count enough for them to read and comment on this elder gentleman's accomplishment :( I hope you get there attention. Would <3 to see this happen.

Most of your player base is NOT the above. Why can't you do a Community Focus on a unique regular player? Seriously I wish everybody stop watching these youtubers, broadcasters etc. They are just players like you and I, but because people follow them , they are more special *sarcasm* then this gentleman. I could careless about 99% of Bungie's Community Focus. I would rather read about the 73 year old player that achieve something that was hard for him due to age & medical condition [b]EDIT I've never been on the Bungie bashing bandwagon. I don't think that's appropriate. But as an adult gamer I find it very disheartening that an honorable community focus that the community cares about is being overlooked. If its good PR the company wants , then show the community some support in this honorable request. *sigh*[/b]
