There are some out there that only have time to run with one class. It is my opinion that each class should have a subclass that is at least capable of a little support. Sunsinger has the start to that goal, but it needs a little help.
What I want is a reason to be excited to play Sunsinger. A subclass's super is a huge proponent to what makes it fun to play, and Radiance has always been wholly underwhelming in terms of power and enjoyment.
Just ask yourself, when was the last time you got excited about your Sunsinger's Radiance? I've gotten hyped about Reapers with Fist of Havoc, shouted War Cries as I got 8 kills in a single Stormcaller activation, and even laughed maniacally as I suppressed two opponents with active supers using my Tether. I think the most I've done with Radiance is tanked a golden gun shot with Radiant skin then slapped the gunslinger.
Radiance doesn't do anything for me that makes me feel like I've 'become legend'.
Recommended changes:
If I could ask for any particular change, it would be that Sunsingers, particularly Radiance, becomes a more supportive class.
All numbers are pretty much irrelevant, as Bungie would certainly balance them, but here's an example of the idea:
Range would be ~5M to be within proximity of the buff.
Song of Flame - Already buffs teammates cooldowns. I would have its range extended to the aforementioned 5M. Powerful in PvE.
Radiant Skin - Buffs teammates damage resistance and drastically increased recovery, recovery applied to sunsinger too as additional buff. 5M radius.
Kills with the above bonuses in PvP would grant support points.
Fireborn - Upon activation, all dead teammates within 5M are instantly revived; no further buff. If deemed too powerful, Bungie could simply leave it as a choice: If dead it would only revive the Warlock, if alive it will revive all within 5M.
If the above options are not what Bungie wants to do with the subclass, then I would ask for at least the following changes:
Sunsingers should get additional health in addition to their 50% damage resistance. As a super, it is currently more useless than a Defender ward, even in PvP.
It should also receive duration like a stormcaller with transcendence, as it does not have anywhere near the output of a stormcaller and needs it even more. This could be reserved for a Radiant Will buff, but I think the super itself needs all the help it can get.

1 Respuesta2 weeks ago, 70+% wouldve said nerf it. The nerf herd really needs to get their minds made up.

8 RespuestasBuff gunslinger and blade dancer as well.

2 RespuestasThe changes/additions I would like to see are: --Increase the new debuff effect of Viking Funeral to 10% per stack for 5-7 seconds. --Sunburst increasing the size of the explosion caused by Solar Grenade, Fusion Grenade, and Brimstone -OR- Granting the same effect of Bloom. --30% increase to the push-back effect of Solar Wind --Song of Flame granting you and nearby allies a damage increase to your melee and grenades during Radiance

A super that serves no purpose or benefit in PvP. Yeah stacks of damage sound good but it's functional pointless. In PvE the idea SOUNDS great. To bad the increased damage is not even that noticeable. The stacks also fall off WAY to quickly. If you want balance in Crucible the you can't have a strictly support class. Each class should be just as effective as the next. Right now Sunsingers are extremely underpowered and again can't stand on their own now.

2 RespuestasBump for exposure. If nothing gets done about this soon I don't see myself returning to this game. I just recently hit335 with my main which is a sunsinger and this nerf to five of the most used perks in the class is overboard. The class has been relatively balanced for nearly three years until they began nerfing every other subclass making certain sunsinger abilities seem stronger than they actually were. Fast forward to now and its not a damage or support class. Warlcoks are not supposed to have the best Def or the most Agility they are supposed to be the Regen class. Why not make Sunsingers more focused on that? Shield Regen, HP regen ect. Nerfing in this game has brought more bad than good in every patch, this one is no exception.

4 RespuestasYour absolutely right, sunsingers have no firebolt now. We need a super buff to compensate for our loss

2 RespuestasIt's needs a buff but it just needs to be reverted back to what it was. The super is worthless now.

3 RespuestasWill Cosmo acknowledge this or will he ignore it? How do you even know Bugnie is aware unless they respond?

7 RespuestasCompletely agree. The "support viking" is lame, def titan can have weapons a light for a while, the tether stays for a while for bonus damage, but the burn is only like 2-3 seconds. And ontop of all that its a hell of a lot harder to throw nades at a boss to get that bonus dmg then it is to tether or just walk into a bubble, i feel they need to extend the burn in pve so it helps the team more

The best battle cry I can think of in radiance is: I'm back bitches and even then it is not as fun

My favourite battle cry as striker: FÛCK YO BUBBLE

2 RespuestasBTW I chose Yes on the poll.

2 RespuestasI never worried about it, that is before the nerf, kinda figured I had no real super but I had a decent grenade, I used dual Solar grenades, and in control or Rift they were great for capturing or defending a zone.....a decent trade off, now it's a really lame class. The new perk might be good for boss fights, should work like melting point....will be waiting to see what the numbers are.

5 RespuestasProblem was sun singer was supposed to be a support class. It turned into an OP tank class

1 RespuestaRadiant skin won't even survive gg now with the damage buff.

Edited my post extensively to better reflect my opinion and wishes for the subclass.

11 RespuestasWell yeah they can't we got a 80% boost to GG damage. 50% regular damage and Deadeye perk 30%.
