I see............ So, first, I never said that the word balance only pertains to Destiny. My point was to not think of other games as you would Destiny. Having to explain that alone worries me about spending time on this response, unless you forgot #satire of course. Sorry, "balance" in Destiny is quite the infection. The type that only bus stop hookers can bestow upon you. Especially the PvP centric players that pimp it. Meta's everywhere, PvE and PvP players at each other's throats, Bungie bending over for the whiners destorying weapon after weapon. Yep, that's some balance.......... I play Destiny almost everyday and have been since Day 1. I've been gaming everyday for about 28 years of my 35 on this Earth. Destiny is filled with quasi scholars on what balance should be and everyone's crying all at once is ruining the game point blank. Destiny isn't even on dedicated servers lol. Let's have that happen first before we hold up Destiny as some bastion of gaming while games like DOOM that just came out are on dedicated servers and are pretty balanced with no noticeable "meta" that I see to this point.
