Idea for a new "Primal" PVP mode - primaries only. No special/heavy ammo. No exotic weapons.
I love primary gunfights in destiny but it still seems like almost every engagement involves special weapons that can one hit kill.
I would really like to see a playlist with no special or heavy ammo. Abilities and radar would still be enabled. Exotic weapons would not be allowed (this prevents use of no land beyond and the universal remote to make it a true primaries only playlist).
Different modes could be available on a rotating basis (example : "Primal control", "Primal skirmish"... Would you guys enjoy something like this? If yes, do you think there should be any other rules?

I would be down for a PvP mode where all you have is weps. No supers, no grenades, no melee abilities. And the weps you get are 1 option of any weapon class. There is one PR to choose from, one AR, one Scout, etc etc. Classic multiplayer just like we use to have with Halo. I would welcome that game type. I know others would be salty without their preferred weps, but I would like to see where skill comes into play with this game. Enough with metas that dictate gameplay - just balance out a specific group of PvP weps and let us duke it out.

Yes to the primary only! With exotics for sure though... It would be nice if you could equip a second primary, scout and auto or low rof auto and doctrine.

2 RespuestasThe inferno game type is almost like that with no mini map/heavy ammo drops with limited special ammo drops. Basic scoring system too.

Primary only (exotics allowed) with trickle modifier. Paintball like maps where 1vs1 also possible.[spoiler]or something like doom snapmap, so ppl can make their maps+choose modifiers/gamemodes etc (too much to ask, i know)[/spoiler] That could be good place to square off against a friend (or foe) and test new guns in action.

This would be awesome for me because I pretty much only use my Grasp. I would wreck. And by wreck I mean be slightly less terrible. Also- and I'm not sure whether or not anyone mentioned this- there is no reason to omit exotics. I know you covered this with the no "no exotics" thing, but it's clear that most people are not on board with that. So what about NLB and Uni Remote? They probably just have to ban those weapons.
