What if each time you died and restarted an area, each time a million people kill Crota, it's canon?
So, here's my theory: in Destiny, YOU are one of many Vex Things, each of whom are responsible for simulating the possible lives, actions, and outcomes of up to three Guardians at a time. Each time your team dies in a darkness zone, the simulation is actually resetting and adapting to different guardian tactics and scenarios. What if the collapse hasn't happened yet, and the Vex are simulating the outcome before they trigger the arrival of the Traveler? What are your thoughts?
Edit: Despite the fact that many of the comments are criticism, some more aggressive than others, I am very interested in what you all have to say. I do enjoy your comments.
Edit 2: Thank god this post finally died

1 RespuestaCool theory. Hopefully untrue just because it would feel very dissatisfying to have all of our accomplishments taken away. But still nice and out of the box :)
-
3 RespuestasIlluminati are the vex confirmed
-
Guardians being vex simulations also would explain the skyboxes: vex are simulating specific activities/outcomes and don't want you diverging too far from prescribed paths, or they can't spend infinite processing power being that they are conducting millions of simulations at a time, so the whole world can't be programmed, to save space
-
1 RespuestaPlot twists like that should be used to tie off garbage bags. This is not a M Night Smalamadindong movie
-
I think the reason is that every time we attack something, we are entering a parallel time line. To defeat the vex, we much purge all the time lines.
-
2 RespuestasWhy do we have to cone up with these "theories" about how: Everytime we redo an activity its because we're Vex/Vex simulations.... Or you know, its just a game and if we could only do things once that'd be kind of stupid?
-
If only Bungie was creative enough to actually write something like this. You guys give them way too much credit.

3 RespuestasEditado por Qwerty: 6/2/2016 5:00:17 PMThis was one of the in-game theories on the Vex, but we know it not to be true for two (three?) reasons. 1. Luke Smith, the guy who OK's every decision post-TTK, in his rapid-fire questions said we were not in Vex simulation 2. We can interact with Warminds, who cannot be simulated, and we ourselves cannot be simulated (likely because we are suppose to be dead), which is why we can stop the Vex at all 3. The Vex are not all powerful like early Destiny likes to tell you. From Praedyth, we know they make mistakes. From Osiris, we know they are not fully above us. From Us, we know even their almighty tied-to-infinity-because-he-is-infinity is able to be stopped

3 Respuestas1+1= 2 and 2 comes before 1 coincidence i think not, us guardians are vex.
-
1 RespuestaWhat if this conversation is a Vex simulation?
-
6 RespuestasI understand it and like the idea, but the actual reason we are respawned is because of our ghosts.
-
I guess that'd make us... *puts on sunglasses* ... gods in the machine.
-
Illuminati confirmed
-
This is a well-structured theory but the fact we're able to interact with a Warmind means we can't be, because 'cording to lore, Warminds are on a level where they can't be simulated.
-
3 RespuestasIlluminati confirmed.
-
Stop writing bungos story for them. "Equips tinfoil helmet"

1 RespuestaI actually really like this theory, probably just became my preferred one. Thanks. The thing is there are just so many theories that are very possible that fall in line with the lore it just finding one that you like the best and makes the most sense to you. Just have to wait until one is confirmed by the devs.
-
Dont care for lore but this made sense and explains the subject pretty well. (I mean beside the logic thats it is a video game)
-
GENIUS!
-
Or you are secretly a chosen undead.
-
Signed Bump
-
Without dissecting the theory I got to say that... I like it.
-
5 RespuestasI don't agree with this theory because if we were a vex "God" why would they attack us?
-
Very interesting theory Guardian!!!

Editado por The Weeb Naruto: 6/2/2016 4:23:53 AMI think this is actually an interesting point. On one of the few specific missions that actually has lore involves you going to a tease arch lab on Venus and realizing to analyze a vex core and thusly finding that the vex predicted you be there and how you would/when/with what, essentially they ran a simulation until it happens and it played out for you, so speaking in the terms of darkness zone, a player dying is actually just the simulation smoothing out the curves of the situation. I believe this is one of the more decent ideas on what and why we are doing things. Top kek. And good job OP for handling criticism
