Right now I'm working on a story with some friends, and are going to release some book series based on what game we want to come up with. But I'm planning ahead for the group, and I want to know what make a good MMORPG.
So far the story tells us that it's based in the past, like swords n shit, with magic and all that.
The story also has the Multiverse theory, so even something like future space traveling and such won't be overlooked.

Solid combat system with an in-game economy. Anything that involves obtaining large amounts of in-game gold to buy rare items. Its what fuels the addition.

1 RespuestaHow much freedom you have in building your character, enjoyable game play, optional offline mode ( outside of social areas ), vast number of different gear that also looks and plays differently ( for more gear diversity ), decent exp from killing mobs, an easy to follow story/quest lines

1 RespuestaQuality endgame content. Too many mmos launch with little to no endgame content.

2 RespuestasPreferably non repetitive quests. If there are quests, please don't make people do the same thing over and over. They should be fresh and creative, not 'done 3, done 'em all.'
