I'm just going to list all of my concerns and impressions about the game because I feel like I've finally reached the tipping point so many people report hitting before they leave this game for good. I got Destiny for xbox at around launch, but have been playing vigorously on ps4 since the beginning of year 2. Throughout the entirety of my experience I have noticed a few things that always seem to make the game boring and annoying to play. These are things like glitches, the horrible storyline, and so on. I'll outline many of these points in the following post: Glitches have plagued this game from the start. Many glitches or exploits still exist, like titan surfing (seriously, they're supposed to be the slowest class?!), the ability of ads like cabal phalanxes to one-hit guardians using melee (there isn't even a boss capable of one-hitting people...), majors not counting as their archetype (major centurion kills don't count as centurion kills), and the most infamous bug of all, the high latency that pretty much all players experience. I believe this to be caused by mechanics in the game rather than players because I've had plenty of pvp and pve sessions in which everyone's connection was displayed as "good" despite signs of clear lag. The reason I bring up glitches is not because they exist - I totally expect glitches to exist in such a big game - but because they haven't been fixed, even after years that Bungies has known about them. The storyline... I don't think an eight year old could come up with a way to implement a storyline into a game worse than Bungie has managed to do, putting the vast majority into grimoire cards that I really don't care to read. I'm not preaching more annoying cutscenes, but integrating the story into quests rather than being based purely on getting kills. Levels are also extremely repetitive... Repetition - this concept extends to literally the entirety of the game - just use the same guns to do the same thing over and over and over again until you realize that there isn't really a point to playing as you can't get A BETTER HANDCANON despite doing hundreds of strikes and crucible matches. The looting system. It sucks. It really sucks. The best way to get new guns is to farm strikes for strike exclusives, but even that is slower than exploiting bosses to kill them while getting the reward. Literally the best way to get new weapons is to exploit certain strike bosses. Why?! Why isn't there a legitimate way to get better weapons that doesn't require absurd amounts of farming? I got an Eyasluna with range finder months ago and haven't gotten a single hand cannon with better perks since, which really illustrates the challenge of depending on luck for not only the right gun type you want, but perks that don't suck as well, which is a really rare chance. Loot in this game is really just an idiotic exercise of continually trying to get lucky if you're trying to play legitimately. RNG. This is probably the worst aspect of the game, not because of its random nature, but because it was implemented in all the wrong areas. RNG in looting has always been horrible, with many twisted stories of players completing VoG hundreds of times without getting a vex mythoclast or better armor. I am severely disappointed that Bungie didn't realize how much of an issue RNG was in loot, but even more in that they added RNG to handcanons just to make using that particular archetype even worse than the stupid nerf to all hand canons made using them. Also most y2 perks are horrible and the fact that RNG is always used to generate them doesn't help. The stupidity of the buff to handcanons. Seriously? Literally two handcanons stood out above the rest, which no one really had much of an issue with. Why couldn't you nerf these two guns rather than disenfranchise an entire archetype? Despite my enthusiasm for hand canons, though, I can appreciate that they needed a nerf as they were the meta, but the nerf you provided was idiotic. You nerfed not only the magazine size and range drop off, but also the accuracy and created new sights that handled extremely worse than previous sights did (maybe that last one is just me?). The handcanon nerf was stupid in that it literally forced players to utilize range increasing perks on handcanons simply so that they could be USED, demonstrating how bad Bungie is at balancing. Balancing overall. Why in the world do you only balance once every few months? Balancing shouldn't just be creating a new meta, but making sure that all guns are at least useful in play. Nerfing guns into the ground so that they can't be used to get a positive k/d isn't balancing. This should be a much more frequent process and change guns a lot less than your "balances" have been doing. Exotics. These "specialized" guns and armor are now stupid and most are only used as fodder to upgrade my other gear. The fact that exotics are the primary way players level is absolutely absurd, as these should be extremely rare items that are the pinnacle of the game's loot and perform better than their legendary counterparts, which is quite the opposite of the case as of late. Most exotics are completely useless like the black spindle(except in the raid) or the fourth horseman(swords 2 op). These were once very powerful guns but can now be replaced by much more powerful builds, and in the latter gun's case, have been nerfed too hard to be very useful. Exotic drops. I've gotten eight invectives but have yet to receive telesto... I hope that explains enough about this topic. Balancing abilities. Bungie has demonstrated time and time again that they are completely inadequate when it comes to balancing abilities, especially with update 2.2 as the voidwalker scatter grenade (which isn't even a grenade) does about as much damage as the voidwalker super to major enemies. This is idiotic as the super should be extremely powerful and able to wipe out any enemy it hits that isn't a boss, but it can't for some godforsaken reason. Another "ability" would be resurrecting, which is now an absurd practice in pve as guardians are left paralyzed and vulnerable for a few seconds with measly shields that don't protect them when they are ressed, and their resurrectors are left open to damage for even longer than previously, which was designed especially for pve. How hard is it to seperate pvp resurrecting from pve? Players in a game. I have gone through too many strikes in which someone leaves the game and a replacement is never loaded in. This is a really annoying phenomenon and just signifies Bungie's inability to provide fast and reliable matchmaking. Now, I've become bored from creating all these points but this absurd waste of time has helped to pacify the annoyances playing Destiny has caused me, so I'll leave you with one note to help you understand my violent stance against Bungie. Even Minecraft, the game that everyone believes to be an immature waste of time for little kids, has less bugs that Destiny. This game regularly undergoes updates to fix glitches/exploits in it almost immediately after they are found. So, even the creators of such a simplistic, childish game managed to outwit Bungie when it came to fixing errors. If you're still reading you must either have a deep hatred for Bungie or be as bored as I am... Fine. I assume that if you've read the entirety of my thread you probably agree or are a Bungie employee trying to bribe me, so I'll tell you what you sneaky son of a gun. Give me a god-roll Eyasluna or Imago Loop and I'll forgive you of all of your sins and never speak out against you again. Unless you added another update that totally removed all previous content for no reason, in which case I would be forced to further insult your game in a long and inefficient diatribe that's only true purpose was venting my frustrations on how unfair this game is to those of us who aren't lucky as all hell. Have fun! QUESTION OF THE POST: Does the accuracy of any handcanon that isn't upgraded suck? And so there you have my unorganized thoughts on the painful experience of Destiny as someone who has basically done everything (except trials, nty, and also hard mode oryx, don't feel like spending five hours with another team of randoms), and is unable to get their dream gun (or a few exotics - Telesto - and others released lately) because of being extremely unlucky. Oh wait, there actually is something that could cause me to be so unlucky. The reporting system of simply clicking on someone's name and then sending a report to be verified by some unknown system is stupid and should just be replaced by something more in depth that actually requires reasons for a report so that they can actually be verified, as I have reported many players countless times for conditions that were true under the vague terms used by the report system but were not the intended use for such terms. Maybe my reporting of people afk during the first half a strike that get kicked once they come back is what gives me my karma, but the entire reporting system needs to be made more efficient and specific to identify whether a player is truly using some form of hack or just exploiting, as there is quite a big difference between those two activities. Have fun when you realize that you literally can't progress anymore without getting extremely lucky!

    • So unfortunately I had to stop reading at the second paragraph. If you think
Glitches have plagued this game from the start. Many glitches or exploits still exist, like titan surfing (seriously, they're supposed to be the slowest class?!), the ability of ads like cabal phalanxes to one-hit guardians using melee (there isn't even a boss capable of one-hitting people...), majors not counting as their archetype (major centurion kills don't count as centurion kills), and the most infamous bug of all, the high latency that pretty much all players experience
Me and you disagree on not only what a glitch is but fundamentals of destiny in general. Titans are the slowest running class but with the right skill can be the fastest. Sure spamming jump is not much of a skill, titans also run the slowest and your not jumping around in the middle of a firefight. Majors not counting towards your bounty is such a minor inconvenience it's embarrassing you even included it on your list. Cabals with shields can one hit you. It's not a glitch you need enough experience to avoid this and can easily be done. Destiny is crazy laggy in crucible always has been but outside of crucible if you experience much lag it's your internet not destiny.

      • If you don't like a RNG game focused on grinding, don't play a RNG game focused on grinding and go play something else.

          • Great post I'm there with you and I would add that the changes to matchmaking have only made it worse every time by adding more lag more bugs and more frustration and as for a day one player with over 3000 hrs on destiny all 3 335s.......wait for it ..... I'm done with the stupidity of a company who only cares about people who whine and people who have a fiber optic connection! Peace bungie. I gave you like fifty chances and 2 yrs of my life so thanks for the let down :(
