Really Bungie is Helping Shoulder Charge?
I can't believe they are so blind. Shoulder Charge is a one hit kill that is over powered. They need to nerf Shoulder Charge on the Titan since they nerfed Flame Shield on the Warlock. It's only fair that they do this. Idk about anyone else but I'm sick of noobs running around in Crucible spamming Shoulder Charge. I'm not a fan of nerfing but it seems like Bungie is nerfing everything after the Taken King came out. The only reason I suggest they nerf Shoulder Charge is to create some balance between the characters.

Shoulder charge is broken, as in hits occasionly don't register. I once took a SC to the face, screen flashed, heard the impact, screen shook, but I lived. Bungie isn't helping shoulder charge. They're unf[b]u[/b]cking it, just like Bladedancers hit registration. It's not a buff, it's a bugfix.

Shoulder charge....op? Hahahahahahaha...huh? Youre joking dear...hit detection is off and you might as well use Juggernaut instead at the moment..and in IB or ToO...if youre lowenough light you cant OHK someone thts at least 330+...unless you are 330+ as well so yea...nice b8 btw m8

Yeah, you can spam shoulder charge, but you're also vulnerable to being caught mid sprint by any number of things (snipers, shotguns, grenades, etc.) Not to mention the potential to be shot by other opponents as the animation finishes. High risk, high reward. OHK is justified in my opinion.

3 RespuestasIf I use shoulder charge, I mostly die or exchange kills. It's in no way a consistent ability to use. However.... If the other team sucks I can go around shoulder charging for days, it's hilarious.

(a) shoulder charge is not always a OHKO. to ensure it's a OHKO, the titan has to sacrifice an exotic armor slot to run Peregrine Greaves and has to have boots off the ground at the time of hit, which is very tricky if you've ever given it a try (and if you haven't, you have zero right to complain, just sayin') (b) melees in general are screwy right now. i have charged enemy guardians dead-on to the chest only to watch them get bumped backwards as if they were a teammate, and then they kill me while i attempt to recover from the game's screwy hit detection. i have slapped guardians as a warlock only to see my melee charge disappear and no damage taken by the enemy. i have knifed people as a hunter with the same results. it's bad all over right now, not just for shoulder charge. (c) if you ever want Arcblade or Suncharge's hit detection fixed, that's down to melees as well (though not many people run Suncharge outside of Mayhem, and that's if they run sunbro at all -- it's just as borked though in my experience). they fix melees, they fix our supers too. (d) if you're dying to shoulder charge, put down the damn sniper and pull out your shotgun or sidearm. problem solved, i promise you. shoulder charge is not hard to counter, and if you refuse to adapt -- whether out of stupidity, stubbornness, or both -- you deserve to get splattered by a runaway Titan locomotive.

Ever tried using it? Not as easy as it seems. It's hardly a case of being able to just run forward from any distance in the open and instakill someone 200 feet behind you.

2 RespuestasI'm not a fan of nerfing classes... Don't we all run 3 characters? Why would you want yourself nerfed? You might 'main' a Warlock or Titan or a Hunter but the time will come when you fancy a change. Every subclass has something that makes it unique. Take that away and Destiny will get boring pretty quickly... Sorry for the wall of text.

I was just in a rift match. 5 attempted Shoulder Charges from 3 different titans. It was crazy, it was like my radar told me they were coming... And my shotgun killed them.. In one shot. Proper shoulder charging requires timing and proper positioning. Try it yourself before shitting on people because you werent prepared to deal with it. I don't complain about snipers when trying to beat them at Range with a short range primary.

So, "spamming" shoulder charge isn't exactly possible offensively. Unless the people you're facing have literally zero map awareness. And as for them "helping" shoulder charge? They're fixing broken hit detection on melee in general. You ARE aware that hit detection on melees across the board is cancer right now, aren't you?

6 RespuestasThey nerf based on player usage. Better hit detection means more usage which means more likely to be nerfed, somewhat, in the next weapons update 6-9 months from now. (I main a Striker and in my opinion, they could drop Shoulder Charge base damage to equal base melee damage and it would still be just fine - in [b]PvP [u]ONLY[/u][/b].)

4 RespuestasI have a friend on Xbox who knows Deej and apparently shoulder charge will take 2 hits to kill. I don't know for sure, but we'll find out soon enough. I don't really care tbh, I use juggernaut over shoulder charge anyway xD
