Use Raze Lighter for Heroic strikes. You'll thank me later.
I used all three exotic swords during heroic strikes to see which one does more damage to majors and ultras, and also Omnigul, and Psion flayers.
Conclusion, Raze Lighter is the new Gjallarhorn, it shreds through ultras and majors and rips the flayers apart.
It is a effective weapon all around, it does a ton of damage and gets the job done with the right set up.
After testing Bolt caster and Dark Drinker, they are only good for clusters of ads that spawn and you need to get rid of a bunch.
But getting more close and personal if you want to take down a major or ultra quick is more effective.
Use Raze Lighter! Plus the name sounds badass.

1 RespuestaIt's great for omnibus and flayers which btw are the only non exotic drop strikes for your 3 of coins. This means they are more often than not skipped unless you grind for vanguard xp. Sleeper simulant is almost a must for anything else. A team of 3 with all sleepers put that MOFO into an eternal sleep so quick lol

Raze lighter is beyond gjallarhorn, I tend to avoid using it on anything but the flayers since it gets very repetetive. However if gjallarhorn was to return to year 2 even without the nerf it revieved it still wouldnt be overpowered anymore, raze lighter/dark drinker and even sleeper would completely destroy it since they have more ammo and do insane damage.

1 RespuestaRaze lighter reminds me of Zero's (Megaman) flame attack. Bolt Caster reminds me of Link's attack while wearing the final mask in Majora's Mask. The Void one reminds me of Link's spinning attack.

5 RespuestasI'm sure trying to shove a sword up Valus Ta'aurc's ass will go over real well with him.... right before he stomps the shit out of someone. Majority of the bosses have some type of stomp move up close, making it a suicide run trying to hit them. Flayers are the easiest to do it against, other bosses you can probably get a swing or 2 before getting stomped. But that sword is great for normal yellow enemies like a minotaur, centurion, taken captain etc. Not so much for stomp bosses.

1 Respuestameh. it has it's place. Flayers, Darkblade .... absolutely. Undying Mind though ???? not so much .... Sleeper Simulant is the answer for guys like Undying Mind and Valus Tu'arc. (however dragon's breath works well for those guys too...) and yes- I have all 3 and more. 333 dragon's, 330 raze, 335 sleeper .... it's all about the right tools for the jobs ;)

2 RespuestasSince the update, I've been running strikes for Vanguard rep and for a shot at the exclusives. Mind you, these are the level 36 normal strikes, not the heroic. I have been paired with teammates using exotic swords many, many times. They always die. Always. Not just once, not in an "oh shit, im in way over my head and im surrounded" situation. What i mean is, the second the equip the sword, it's like someone tagged them and replaced them with a retarded monkey berserker. And they die. Over, and over, and over. This tells me one of either two things. Either A) swords are a gimmick and they suck ass, or B) 90% of the people who get a sword have no f*cking clue what they are doing. I'm partial to option B myself, but i can't discount option A as a possibility since guardians sucking hard with swords seems to happen so often.

Dark Drinker is still my favorite sword, regardless. I hardly ever use Razelighter, only if it's like solar burn on Nightfall and I can use a sword on the boss

Dark drinker is area, bolt caster is distance and raze lighter is single target. Of course raze lighter does the most damage
