Many of Bungie's Designers/Testers/QAs (as well as Cozmo, Deej and Urk) are aware of the reddit community wishlist and that it is updated regularly. Many hot ticket items have been addressed since it was orignially created.
It serves its purpose of both clearing up the forum for other discussion and drawing attention to elements of the game that need to be addressed.

And like I said if the responses bungie has given to those issues were included that would do a lot for showing they have been taken into account. As is many have been met with mum or were addressed so long ago it's no longer a relevant answer, such as the reason for no nightfall matchmaking being due to the nightfall modifier difficulty.
