In my opinion the division just doesn't cause me to feel that sense of wonder and curiosity that Destiny has. For example, after The Dark Below was released for Destiny, I was absolutely hooked on the Hive and the lore behind them. Nothing in the division does that for me like destiny has. I know they are both set in different worlds but the division has reached the climax of what it can do. The finally boss IS A -blam!-ING HELICOPTER! Destiny's boss is a giant badass alien (referring to Atheon here not the vanilla boss) that you need teamwork to kill. Sorry division you were fun but I'll always find my way back to destiny because of its extensive and interesting lore
Yes I realize the vanilla final boss is the three minotaurs but seriously can those really be considered bosses? I just refer to the raid bosses as the final bosses because they actually deserve the title
Edit: "IN MY OPINION" those are the words I used so don't freak out if you don't agree
Edit: Why is this trending?
Edit: I just realized you never see an infected person in the division like what the -blam!-? Does that not blow your -blam!-ing mind?

I have seen plenty of infected keel over and die and so have most of my friends that play.
-
1 RespuestaAtheon was released a month later and division still hasn't released the incursions yet

They can both learn from each other.

1 RespuestaThey both have their ups and downs. Ultimately, play what you want. ~TheGreatBike

4 RespuestasEdit: I just realized you never see an infected person in the division like what the -blam!-? Does that not blow your -blam!-ing mind? - Because the infected have all died. Did you not listen to Amherst video?
-
Well if you think the raid boss is destinys end then the division end boss is coming in april and just to say it now vog didn't release until weeks later like incursions in the division
-
Yes the lore which can be found online... Not in the game... -_-'
-
Well i can admit that division is buggy as hell
-
1 RespuestaThe lore behind the hive? Where is that in the game? Where is the story behind anything, especially the giant white ping pong ball in the sky that the entire game is supposed to be about?
-
1 RespuestaDon't worry the division dlc will have World War Z zombies or Cloverfield monsters Hahaha. I do worry about endgame and dlc for Division.
-
2 RespuestasThe Division's world is realistic, so it lacks a "sense of wonder" on principal. It's Tom Clancy not Final Fantasy.

19 RespuestasEditado por SirSavageII: 4/1/2016 4:31:46 AMI personally will not be on destiny unless they give me something new not just a reskin of poe and colorful gear lol. Destiny= child game with all the same builds. Easy mode Division= a sophisticated game for people who like different builds. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed destiny but got tired of the grind to have the same op weapon as the next. In division I can have a great build and not be the same as the man next to me. Also the dark zone pvp is great in my opinion. I like that I can just run around loot some stuff and if I choose to engage another person I can. Destiny pvp is broken and always will be because children cried NERF. Division requires you to think about your gear set up and be a team player. Anyways that's my opinion and we all know that opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

10 RespuestasIf Bungie had been able to make destiny more then a FPS I'd be happier, unfortunately they didn't. So to get my loot fix I enjoy the Division, I'm also hoping lost ark will get a US release. The Division has an amazing story and has good lore and a crazy detailed environment. To say it doesn't is a massive disservice to the developers.

Division and Destiny are both entirely different games. I never understood why they are compared to each other so much. Keep in mind, I'm not disagreeing with OPs statement. I don't really like Division. #TitanMasterRace

2 Respuestas
I just realized you never see an infected person in the division like what the -blam!-? Does that not blow your -blam!-ing mind?
not true. you see em all the time. you give them stuff, sometimes if you don't, they die at your feet.
-
enjoy both (Division mostly lately since new/shiny) but mainly ticked I can't ride any of the hundreds of bicycles laying about in the Division no way to compare a near-future human only 3rd person to a 1st person total fantasy/sci-fi with space magic...
-
3 RespuestasMuted for being a complete fucking retarded Desticle.
-
To me it simply lacks a sense of wonder.
-
It not really fair to compare a destiny raid boss (that didn't come day 1) to a story mission boss. Come back when the strike or whatever comes out in the Division and compare that boss.
-
11 RespuestasSo you are comparing The Division's Final story boss(has only been out for 3 weeks) to Destiny's Raid Bosses(has been out for 2 1/2 years) The Division also has a limit to the designs of bosses since it's meant to be present day in Manhattan and the characters are all human
-
2 RespuestasSee.... You can always play both. You do have that option. My fireteam bounces from game to game. You can also. You have the power.

2 RespuestasDestiny nails better than any game I've played the gunplay mechanics and the feel of your character (speed, weight etc) It's what makes it so addictive. I love The Division, I like the third person view, and I love the tactical nature of using so much cover. But I can see it getting stale quickly. It's just artificial difficulty like Crota's End and Prison of Elders. Oh challenge mode? We'll just overlevel the enemies and increase their numbers, knock yourself out. I'm pretty keen to see what these incursions are like, but I don't think they have the base or the freedom to build something like VOG or KF

2 RespuestasSo you state that destiny's main bosses are the raid boss yet you forget that the divison has been out for only a few weeks. It doesn't even have its raid yet. How can you even compared them? I mean destiny has had 2 years to develop and grow and you dismiss the division because of the final boss which isn't a raid? If you recall destiny naysayers had the same reaction. They dismissed destiny before it began to grow and cultivate. Both games should have ample time to grow and develop before you compare them. You wouldn't want to compare vanilla destiny w/o a raid to a well established game like Diablo or warcraft. You wouldn't be here if you couldn't wait for improvements and fixes because we all know that destiny needed a lot of fixing before it became stable. All I'm saying is give them time. I played both since the betas and I enjoy both and I'm willing to stay with them both. TDLR :
don't compare the divison before it has got its raid and other sandbox changes.
You are comparing a game that's been out for over 18 months now, to a game that hasn't even hit 1 month. Were you there for vanilla destiny? If so, do you not remember how little content there actually was? The Division hasn't even had its first free content update yet, which will include the endgame Operation raid-like encounter, let alone a true DLC. And as for your other points, they are two very different genres. Yes they are alike in many ways, but the story and settings could not be any different than they are. You aren't going to have space magic and multiple alien races in a game that's rooted in the actual world in a real city.

1 RespuestaThe division is a good game but when compared to other games it is in some way similar to it and in some completely different. Just like other games the division has it's flaws and they need to be pointed out to better the game. In my opinion, one of the things that are keeping me from sticking to the division is that its way too generic and a bit lackluster.
