When someone is Taken their will is burned out and replaced by the will of Oryx, essentially turning all Taken into puppets. If Malok is already Taken, even if Oryx is dead he would still have no will of his own, thus no ability to covet anything. Does that mean now that Oryx is dead all the Taken are self-aware? Is it just the most powerful of the Taken that can subjugate the weaker? When that Taken Centurion summons four Axion Darts in a row is it because he chooses to or because he's a huge dick!
