Sniping in destiny
From the get-go , let me start this post by stating that this is not a salty , QQ post. I've been in multiple crucible matches the past 2 weeks and i have noticed that sniper rifles are literally dominating most maps. Be it a control or a skirmish match , i find 75% of the enemy team sitting in the same place , hardscoping the same door.
And my question is this : is this what sniping is supposed to be? Are you supposed to stand still , close off one area of the map and headshot EVERYONE that tries to access said area? Or am i doing something wrong? I am literally at the point that the moment i try to move 50m out of the spawn i instantly get stillpierced , 100k stared or icebroken in the damn head.
Any insight would be appreciated

5 RespuestasMost guys that do that won't hit the headshot if you do some evasive maneuvers and push from flanks. If you get one guy down, collapse from 3 angles. If they literally don't move, that just makes them golden targets for stuff like firebolts and axion bolts. Just whatever you do, don't go around corners at head level. Jump, slide, shade step, blink, anything so your head isn't a head level when you round a corner. Also, you can go into 3rd person by dancing or pointing to see around corners. If you see a red glint, then don't peek.

2 RespuestasSnipers are a problem but they can't nerf them without making the King's fall raid unplayable so your stuck with it until poe is flavour of the month in April then expect them to get nerfed hard like every gun in pve does

i dont see how people can use the same damn sniper over and over again i switch from praedyth's to gozen c to what ever i dont hardscope that much either i have nothing against it but if your just sitting there for the whole time by a crate just zoomed in your kinda a douche

Let them sit at one end of the map hard scoping, you sit at the other end of the map and Hard scope.....enjoy the fun......are you feeling it?......Wait for it........it's coming........oh what suspense.....oh what stiff competition...........oops, I think one of them dropped his scope to check his radar, things are getting heated now. Honestly, they need to do something, watch any trials video...3v3, 2v2 every one runs almost exclusively TLW/DoP and sniper rifles, some run NLB and a Sniper, that should tell you something. So much for diversity.

1 RespuestaProblem is ego and stubborness. If you get sniped in a certain area, don't go there again..lol. For me, I tend to challenge a sniper since I'm a sniper also. But if I know he has his spot locked down and I don't have an advantage I simply go.to another place.

4 RespuestasSniper Rifles were designed to eliminate enemies discretely and from a long distance. The weakness of a Sniper Rifle wielder is being out-numbered. Interact with your team, out number him and make him move out of his nest/eliminate him. It very hard to win a "snipe-off" when the enemy has already established a good position so don't venture into their path/area. Make them move to find you. Sniping takes skill. Hard scoping/quick scoping, it doesn't matter what method they choose to use. If you fire first with any weapon and hit with your first round, a Sniper will find it incredibly hard to hit you with a precision shot.

3 RespuestasI love how every sniper winged about felwinters and shotguns in HoW and ruined them now the tables may be turned and they bag on ppl? typical scrublets being scrublets. I really hope they don't nerf snipers but buff shotguns and all other secondary's to be just as effective

2 RespuestasHonesty anyone who knows anything about actual sniper tactics knows you can not run and gun a sniper rifle camping is the most common tactic for a sniper to see it utilized in game in no surprise and I have been on both sides of that rifle and know that just because you have the upper hand with your sniping position does not mean you are gonna keep it

4 RespuestasCounter snipe. But seriously, I don't have this issue. I get torn up more by shotguns than I do snipers. Move quick, learn the lanes and how to slide.
