Honestly, this update is a complete letdown..I have been a Bungie fan since Halo CE, I used to dissect every single word Frankie posted on your weekly updates to get a hint of whatever you guys were working on. But this is complete BS, POE??? Seriously??? And above all of this, PS4 users are getting extra content of the little extra content??? (YES, it is a small amount of repeated content)
Look, you guys really need to balance this issue out. We XBOX ONE users are paying the same amount of money as PS4 users, and we are receiving less relevant content (Xbox couldn't appreciate the Montecarlo or Hawkmoon at their finest hour). I understand that this was a business strategy approach, but I believe you guys will lose fans and users on the medium term on the xbox side. Don't forget we are your most loyal fans, we elevated this company to its current status and you are letting us down.
Word of advice, you want to keep all of us (PS4 and XBOX) playing Destiny?? Do you want us out of The Division or Fallout 4?? Release a new Raid or a new planet location, let loose a difficult boss on the patrol missions and let it be bombarded by 40+ guardians...this is all it will take...no more generic rolled weapons or weapon balancing (which actually suck), no more repeated Russias or Venuses. Bring us fresh new content, it doesn't even have to be an expansion heavy content, just something new. You guys are the most talented studio ever to exist, so prove it. I will gladly pay for it.

BUT Do not worry, all this exclusive content is just "time limited", they stated that last year ;) I completely agree with that letdown part. In my eyes the biggest issue is lack of story, lack of non repeable content and leaving Y1 stuff notforwarded in favour of new content (what is completely ridiculous decision, if you aks me). Bungie needs to do something about stagnating Destiny. Hell this game needs story, all gring is better with story because through story we see reasson. Right now the reasson to play is just to conquer really punishing RNG (and we all know RNG in destiny is complete cr4p).

That isn't Bungie or Play Stations fault. If you wanted the exclusive stuff that badly you bought the wrong console. On the side I agree with PoE was crap before and it will again be crap. The Taken champions were a nice addition and I wish they would expand upon that to give patrols more flavor. An area on each venue that plays like the Court of Oryx but summon strong enemies with a chance at decent loot.

That's ridiculous, games don't exist to serve the console in the same way a painting doesn't exist for the benefit of the piece of canvas it's painted on.

No, because of 3 business decisions. Bungie decided to offer timed exclusive as many gaming companies do. Microsoft decided they didn't want to pay for the exclusives. Sony decided they did. Microsoft spent a lot of money on timed exclusives during the last console generation and didn't see a huge return on investment and decided it didn't make business sense.

I wonder if the 1year timeframe is really the issue. Make it 3 months and I'm sure there's much less complaining.

Lots of people consume the meat and potatoes of the update quickly and have nothing else to do so it's reasonable for them to feel jilted. Personally I have a ton of quest steps to complete on my alts. I just play a few times a week so I have things I want to do on my main and never make it back to them. I spent a long time preaching that VoG and CE could be done for fun, helped some kinderguardian friends complete both for the first time and it felt like an empty victory. Got a few weapons to use on my Warlock that I finally rebuilt to have all 3 classes again as it made its way to 40. I yearn for the old raids to be made useful. Why not make each Raid/PoE/CoO have one piece of RNG gear that is 335 that only drops from the end boss. Maybe to round things out throw an item into a 42/310 Nightfall. Make all endgame content useful.

Not trolling and yes, as far as I know. Just because gating content is common doesn't mean it's a good thing. Put it another way, why should I get an inferior product when I paid the same?

You eventually get the same product with all the same perks and Sony paid for some them. The kinks are worked out by another player base and you don't have to suffer through things needed to be rebalanced. We all know I'm not talking about Bungie about rebalancing things ;)
