Who cares, lol. Get a life.

1 RespuestaWell, IGN has a pretty simple rating system: divide the number they were payed to rate a certain game by 100,000, and use that number as the game's score.

4 RespuestasThat doesn't make sense destiny is by far the most horrible piece of shit to be put on earth

8 RespuestasAnd IGN means something? I check multiple reviews when a game comes out. I used to check out Gametrailers because I liked the more indept mature review style they did. Sadly they are no more. IGN, Machina and Gamespot and the likes are all heavily leaning toward the publishers who buy up their ad space from their websites. This makes them not independent and for that not totally honest. Besides this I rarely agree with any review they make to begin with. One example of this is the "recent" review of Alien Isolation. The complaints where that the game was to long (because it takes around 20 hours to complete it) and the saving mechanics were tedious and unpractical. I mean really? 20 hours to long? Granted it is a pretty intense game which takes a lot out of you and for many people it's to tense to play for longer periods. I get that. To only reason the reviewer had a problem with it was that he wanted to finish it quickly so he could edit the video review. Hardly a valid point to make I think And then the saving mechanic. It was designed specifically to install extra dredd in the player. Making it as much as posible for the player to actually "fear" death as death is a thing you want to avoid at all cost.....which works really well in a horror game...which this is. So complaining about a mechanism that was put in specifically to make the player feel underpowered in this type of game clearly tells me this person was the wrong choice te review this game. My point to this is that many of these hipster reviewers are trying to sound intelligent and versed but lack the actual skill to see things through the developers eyes and hurt this industry in the process. I check out Angry Joe reviews. He has a very unique and loud style which isn't for everyone and his reviews are a bit lengthy (which I really like) but he (and many other smaller YouTube reviewers) is honest and takes the time and effort to fully explain why he has this opinion. I do agree with many things he says. He praises what he likes and he points out what is wrong in a game. But he also tells how the devs can fix it. Find the smaller reviewers on youtube and don't rely on this bigger game outlets because are financial dependent on the the publishers....

2 RespuestasCan't spell ignorant without IGN
-
Angry Joe gave 5/10 and gave Destiny 6/10
-
1 RespuestaAnd Gamespot gave Destiny a 6.0, and gave The Division an 8.0.
-
16 RespuestasWow. I'm 60 hours into the game and loving every minute. But since IGN gave such a low rating, I think I'll return my copy and just play games other people like.
-
2 RespuestasI play destiny I love it I play division I love it Who the -blam!- cares

It shouldn't really bother anyone, most people are aware IGN has no idea what they are doing 100% of the time.
-
Yet again another reason scores should be rid off. Do you even listen to what he/she says? Answer=
ha! No
I smell troll feces

The reviewer also sounds like he wanted to play any game besides the Division. He wants to play an MMO, then he wants to play a game with quick kill times, then he wants a loot based game yet ignores it in the Division. He also has no idea of the setting for the game since he complains about it being empty and thinking the virus just hit. Which is absurd to even think. It's like saying dead space is bad for not survivors on the Ishimura.
-
Division is boring af

IT won't bug anyone with an IQ higher than plankton for one reason and one reason only.... IGN.... Only drooling, monitor licking halfwits pay any attention to IGN.

Editado por RingersCheckmate: 3/18/2016 8:17:29 AMWhen did people ever start caring about IGN reviews? and Why?
-
Activision has IGN in their back pocket, kind of like Bungie has you in their back pocket.
-
1 RespuestaSo IGN thinks Destiny is better than The Division. Bette question: Why do you care?
-
1 RespuestaIt's ign though.
-
2 RespuestasMy pet hamster can rate games better than IGN.
-
That Activision pay check does wonders.
-
So one guy didn't have the greatest time with the division and decided to write about it in the internet. Don't let it discourage you from trying a game for yourself.
-
3 RespuestasJust going to throw this out there for people arguing - buy a game because you want to play it not because of 'ratings' The division WONT kill destiny, in fact I don't think any game will create a none existent player base for destiny (modern warfare anyone?) And my favourite one
people can play more than one game? Ooh shock horror
Destiny (PS4) on metacritic = 76 metascore + 6.1 user score The Division (PS4) on metacritic = 81 + 7.5 user score Just saying.

38 RespuestasEditado por VULFDREK: 3/17/2016 11:56:29 PMThe Division outsold Destiny in retail sales. It's currently the highest selling new triple AAA game in history. That record alone is a feat by Ubisoft. Also costs them less than 500mil so all that money they just made. Edit: Had to fix launch sales as it was confusing. Also love all the hateful trying to defend Destiny responses. I love Destiny but facts are facts.
