So Deej responded to the duck guy post and the people getting butt-hurt about his funny response.
What was interesting was the detail that went unnoticed by most. From Deej's post:
... I know you want more content. I know the people at Bungie who are working on that stuff. They have some good ideas and I'm looking forward to introducing them to you so that they can share them. They have a few more questions to answer before I bring you into the space where you can know what we know.
I promise I'll start telling stories about the futurewhen I know they won't change. This has been demanded of me in the past.
He's starting that plans are still up in the air and changing.
Don't expect any substantial news any time soon.
This, coupled with something interesting said in another thread, makes it all add up.
Keep in mind it is hearsay, but it is an insider's account of life at bungie, and how it is managed. Even with a grain of salt, it makes sense with Deej's statement that plans are still changing.
This is from CrabNinja on the other thread:
Through an unusual connection, I got some insight into how true this is. My wife was meeting up with an old friend..... turns out her friend is dating someone that formally worked at bungie.
All I'll say about him is that he designed one of my favorite guns and favorite members of the covenant.
Short version- bungie is horribly mismanaged. Too many people in charge are opposing each, communication to devs is confusing, contradictory, or totally lacking.
From his story, it's hard to believe that we still got such wonderful gems as VoG out of such a quagmire.
So where does that leave us?
1. Deej confirmed there are no solid plans he can describe yet.
2. An insider's account of conflicting directions from management, and outright conflict over the game's direction, at bungie.
3. Harold Ryan was fired. (Industry tip: If the one "stepping down" says a few words, they're leaving of their own free will. If their replacement said a few words, as Pete Parsons did, they were politely fired. )
4. The long stretch of radio silence in December, and several weeks of "we'll have further information to share next week", to Deej now saying he doesn't know when he can share information, strongly suggests big planning changes at bungie.
Clearly these four things combined demonstrate we cannot expect any solid information anytime soon.
That's a shame frankly. However, the devs are awesome, passionate and talented. They want to make a great game, and manage to, despite management's "help".
Deej is just doing his job and takes way more flak than most could handle. It's not his fault management at bungle sucks and is hurting the game. Be grateful that he's willing to do his best, day after day.
TL;DR No new info anytime soon. Now is a great time to take a break from destiny and come back later. You won't miss a thing.

That weekly update was something... Not
-
They mentioned stuff about new content coming "in the spring" way back in like early january. What the hell was the point of ever bringing it up when they were never going to mention anything solid ever again?
-
Thought that was obvious

1 RespuestaWhoa whoa whoa! You can't be respectful and mature here! This is the Destiny forums, where do you think you are?! But really great post, I'll just keep on playing the Divison until Dank Souls 3 comes out, and if something Destiny related pops up I'll eventually get around to it, I'm just doing what everyone else should be doing, taking a break.

2 RespuestasYou believe everything other people say? OK Donald Trump is going to build a wall between USA and Mexico. He is going to make them paid for it. Seriously?

Editado por CookieNiki: 3/16/2016 10:08:20 PMWell, Bungie said "Spring update". We're still at Winter and Spring only ends in mid June, so I'd say they still have plenty of time without breaking that promise. I agree with the break suggestion, though.

1 RespuestaAgreed.original game was cut up and sold as dlcs. Since then we've been beta testers for -blam!-gie. Expect nothing from -blam!-gie until d2

Bungie's plan board: "Add something that improve the game" Well...destiny is dead...they cant do it.

1 RespuestaDestiny 2 is where the money at.

No matter what happens with the future of this game, I can he sure of one thing; They need to change the foundation on which this game was built. They need to talk to each other more and find a way to settle the creative disputes that they're having. Destiny had a lot of potential, and still does, but the game is only as good as those who made it, and judging the lack of information and lack of any real change to the game, it's inventory, it's world, or it'd mechanics since September, this game is in free fall until those at bungie can work with one another. It's unfair to us because we have a game some still invest hours in and we're no longer getting anywhere. It's unfair to them because this isn't the way they need to be viewed. I hope they can get their shit together.

1 RespuestaPeople also glossed over the fact that the voice actor for Mara Sov said she is afraid of and doesn't feel safe around black people.
-
The plan is to speak about opportunities to make a plan which consists or not consists new content for pvp or pve or social area or nothing like this.

I can tell you one thing to expect another price tag

1 RespuestaThis was actually a damn good post in all areas. About Deej, about measured expectations. Good job man.

1 RespuestaThat is a really fleshed and specific theory. Especially based on one sentence taken out of context and one sentence of hearsay on just culture in general.

1 RespuestaThat friend was formally working at Bungie? As opposed to informally working there?

Great post, one of the more interesting ones among the bad ones out here. I like the theory and it does make sense. I'll be waiting eagerly for info, but until then fire emblem fates will keep me busy.

While I generally stay away from info coming from a friend of a girlfriend of an employee (having flashbacks of space balls now....thanks), it does make sense. Not to mention it does kinda line up with something I read before about half the company not even knowing what's going on. I will say this though, I find it funny when people get pissed at deej for lack of info. He is just a puppet allowed to take some liberties with the info he is told that he can share. I'm betting at least half the community would have done the same thing with someone challenging them like duck dude did.

Good post.

As the studio gets bigger and bigger in numbers (600+ and counting, outside contractors?), it has become harder and harder to manage, have good communication between teams and a single vision. As an artist, I can tell you things start looking bleak when you have to develop a talent to read minds... As it stands. maybe Bungie should only keep a core team who can direct contractors/hired help. Seems they can't afford the paychecks for such a large number of talents who don't have a clue if they'll have a job tomorrow, looks like everyone is replaceable if budget dictates it.

5 RespuestasGetting mad at Deej is equivalent to getting mad at the barista at Starbucks when the company decides to not have Pumpkin Spice as the flavor of the month for October.

TL;DR: Steel Beams melt Jet Fuel. Deej said so.

1 RespuestaSo....is this spring update even real?
