What I don't like about 343's Halo campaign is that the story doesn't lean enough towards the crowd who only plays the games. Most people I've known to play the Halo 4 campaign don't fully understand why this giant alien hates humans, or how Prometheans used to be humans and forerunners. I guess they didn't want to spoil the main bad guy but it could've been explained a little better within the game.
As for the sudden appearance of Blue Team, that is explained in the Halo: Escalation comics mini-series "The next 72 hours" taking place after Halo 4, and also written by the Brian Reed, who wrote the story for Halo 5. Video summary is in the following link, spoilers ahead if you intend on picking this series up. https://youtu.be/4jvwviYCMOA

Yeah I can concede to them not explaining things as well as they could be. At the same time I feel like the story's in the games are told well enough that players get the gist of things. And are free to look at terminals or other sources to learn more if interested. Because halo is an fps they walk a difficult line between making a good story but keeping it simple enough so players still get it. And thanks for the clarification on where they explain blue team.

No problem, I also added a link of a video summary of the comic in my original comment if you're interested.
