Since it looks like Destiny 2 is going to be 18 months later than originally planned for, I highly doubt they will be looking to cater old gen, providing both Activision and Bungie mutually agree to withdraw the contract clause.

I can all but guarantee bungie with an already overloaded staff won't even think of putting in the effort required to create a downgraded version of d2. Aren't they're emotes that aren't available? The middle of tom doesn't spin right? It's just highly unlikely.
