For some that know me, I was top 10 worldwide player for KDR and WLR for the first several months of the game. The game was my passion although it was overall utterly disappointing from the start.
To continue playing this game, is a crime for future gaming. To support this platform new Bungie upholds is to just as well uphold scamming, false advertising and to allow all other, future games to be paved in the same egregiousness.
From the start, new Bungie hasn't listened. They clearly don't care about anything more than your money. Remember Halo? They gave out free maps on Bungie day, showed us how a community can really be, and the forums were never this murky. Now we are spit on with disappointment and the only thing they can do is lie to us to get us to stay and play.
I had enough. This type of disrespect for players, if continued, will lead to a seriously awful future for gaming, I'm afraid. I quit this game 3 moths ago, and I've loved playing Runescape again among others.
List of grievances:
-No custom games at launch or even a year into the game
-Complete RNG everywhere in order to extend playtime after cutting up the vanilla content into DLC packages (then lying about it), rather than more meaningful content.
-Lack of proper PR communication
-Took 8 months to fix the Blink/Thorn/TLW year 1 meta. Then it returned after 3 months of PvP balance because they gave hand cannons their accuracy back, completely knowing what they were doing.
-Sunsinger still hasn't been balanced at all since vanilla.
-Egregious DLC system
-Implementing micro transactions to bolster a live team. Not only does Bungie have plenty millions to spare to simply hire more content creators, this was just a lie for more money. If you don't believe me, look at every live event created thus far, they are all endorsements for more micro transactions. Wanted that blue flaming skull? Money. Wanted the SRL book? Money. No live events have been standalone free to play content. They've all been pumped with RNG and use your money to skip their RNG process.
-Not listening to your players, seemingly ever, unless a glitch favors the players. In that case, immediate priority.
-Year one content made completely obsolete
-there's plenty more, but I fear no matter how much I say your mind is already made up.
Good luck guardians.
Do we really want another Destiny anywhere else in the gaming world?
Maybe we like the shooting and the fun Destiny is, but that's not my point whatsoever. It's the way Bungie handles the game.

I am very close to quitting. I'm very tired of the grinding. The 3oC system is truly broken. I had been playing on Xbox and went back to playing my old Titan on PS4 which I had never bought ROI. I have been trying to get exotic weapons for my Titan for 3 weeks and all I get are exotic armor engrams. If I do get a weapon it's something I have already. Out of all the exotic weapons, I have only been able to get 5 of them total. I can't even get the Smolder or Choloric Dragon rocket launchers. It's like the movie Groundhog Day. Same thing everyday, rinse and repeat with no joy and no fun. The thrill is quickly dwindling away.

3 RespuestasEditado por FuiKaka: 3/1/2016 6:40:02 AMFirstly, I don't know why you're assuming that anyone gives a -blam!- who you are, but I sure dont. Secondly, there's only one thing I need to ask myself to know if I should continue playing a game I payed for with my money, on my console. Do I enjoy the game? Yes. That's all.

1 RespuestaBut it's a fun game I can play casually with my friends. So no.. I won't quit

1 RespuestaI mostly agree with you but I'm optimistic that Destiny can reach its potential. A lot of what you mentioned can be traced to one thing: Identity Crisis. Plain and simple, there has and, quite possibly, still is some disagreement within Bungie as to what Destiny is and what it should be. Is it a mmorpg? Is it a competitive fps? At first, it seemed to want to be an mmorpg but somewhere along the way Bungie came to the realization that it couldn't keep up with respect to content. Then it seemed that Bungie tried to straddle the fence, HoW was kind of the turning point for me. With HoW they started to focus more towards PvP without actually making it a PvP centered game. At this point they pushed away a large portion of their player base who had an expectation of Destiny being a mmorpg while not satisfying the requirements of being a competitive shooter. Honestly, they could easily satisfy both by simply implementing custom and ranked playlist for PvP and directing focus on content. As for weapon balance, they need to admit that there will always be "that gun" and simply constantly shift the balance. By shift the balance I don't mean nerf everything, but simply scale weapons on a rotating basis as to keep the meta fresh. Like, have a month of handcannons and scouts being strong then shift ARs and pulses up the next month and shift handcannons and scouts down, mess around with it constantly. The aim can't be the impossible goal of balance but a very possible goal of freshness.

I'm going to quit as soon as the next bungie money grab gets released. I'd would stick around but I really don't like having my time wasted and lfg is either a blessing or an absolute nightmare. Join a dream team group, we go from golgie to completion in under an hour later I join another group can't even get past golgie in an hour.

Quits playing 3 months ago but last game was 10th January.

Editado por TheGantrithor: 3/2/2016 6:20:42 PMAs others have mentioned. It's a little moronic to come to the Destiny forums trying to convince people to stop playing it. If you quit, then move on. But it obviously has some sort of hold over you if you really feel the need to come to the forums here to try to get other people to join you in your obvious destiny-withdrawal misery. Misery does indeed love company, and you are proving that saying very well. If you had truly quit, you wouldn't be here making threads like this. Crying for attention.

8 RespuestasStopped reading at title. If someone enjoys a game then who are you to tell them they should stop? People who don't play Destiny but still use those forums are like Vegans who want EVERYONE TO KNOW they're vegans and how stupid everyone else is for not being vegan. Shut up, sit down, and let me eat my metaphorical destiny hamburger.

2 RespuestasEditado por Mike: 3/1/2016 7:26:30 PMHey man, all mmorpgs are a let down at some point on a individually personal level for each player. You cannot look or judge this game like any other.

Editado por cadevader: 3/1/2016 2:13:30 PMSo a lot of these arguments have good ground to them, but most of them have a cause behind them. The 2 things that contribute the most to this stuff is Activision being the horrible corporation that they are and bungie experimenting with the new game style that they are working with. Edit: I am saying this because most people try to defend or attack bungie without giving any actual argument behind it. You gave some good reasons so I figured I would give some reasons back.

I agree

4 RespuestasI can help you here! It's called BUSINESS! I'll explain! The chances are when you last visited your favourite fast food chain and you bought a burger they may have said something like: "Would you like fries with that!" This hopefully adds a greater turnover and hopefully with a good business model more profit! Bungie and Activision are just like your favourite fast food chain or Car Dealer etc.... ADD ONS + GOOD BUSINESS MODEL = PROFIT!
