I'm not hating, just genuinely curious. Is it because it wasn't hit as hard by the recent pulse rifle nerf?

Some people like getting all the legendary and exotic guns. I have it, but I haven't used it yet so I don't know what it's like wether it's good or bad. Obviously it does depend on the perks though

2 RespuestasEditado por Zenith: 2/25/2016 3:26:41 AMHigh RoF pulse rifles have always been amazing in PvP, even back in vanilla days, but they were always overshadowed by low RoF pulses like Three Little Words, The Messenger, and Hopscotch Pilgrim. Here are essentially all the reasons why GoM is considered a great weapon right now: 1. Recent pulse rifle nerf - with the most recent weapon patch, both low and medium RoF pulses had their damage stat nerfed by at least 8 percent. High RoF pulses only got a 2.6 percent nerf, which in reality barely affected the damage at all. So in terms of it's effectiveness now compared to before the patch, GoM is the best. 2. Lack of low RoF pulse rifles - even before the weapon patch, Spare Change .25 has been the only year 2 low RoF pulse rifle you can get, and it's a rare crucible drop, so people barely use them in crucible anymore. 3. It's individuality - GoM is the only year 2 high RoF pulse rifle you can get, so it's unique in both stats and perks, since most of the new pulse rifles have the new layout of perk trees. 4. It's extremely rare - the drop rate from Omnigul is below 1 percent, I believe. It'll usually take hours just to get one to drop, and up to weeks to get one with a good roll. Because of that, barely anyone has one with an amazing roll, so it's a very exclusive item to have (and people like exclusivity). Most people who don't have it underestimate it because of it's extremely low impact. But with that outlook, the Doctrine of Passing should be terrible too, yet it's considered one of the best PvP weapons in the game right now. In order to understand just how good the GoM is, you have to get one with decent perks at least and use it. There's a reason why tripleWRECK has spent over 100 hours on twitch farming for it, and why it has an almost cult following. But you won't understand until you get it, so I recommend you do that.

16 RespuestasI have one with a pretty good roll on my warlock if you want to check it out. Even with the roll it still feels underwhelming to me. I would like to see how good it can be with full auto
-
Basically tell same reason the doctrine is popular.
-
The high impact pulse rifles suffered the most. Grasp still does good. Bad Juju was working pretty well for me earlier
-
Well, I don't have one, so I can only speculate. Probably it's rarity. It looks like a positional good to me. But I never really cared for the weak hitting pulse rifles
-
Its the Doctrine of Passing for Pulse Rifles
-
Cause it's holding on to your balls idk ╮(╯▽╰)╭

1 RespuestaIve got the hàke (?) Pulse rifle that has 30-33 impact with the right perks, full auto, r.o.f is okish... stability increase would be fantastic ! Im more a scout / HC player.. but if that got tweeked a bit i might consider using it a bit more. Its on my titan.

It's shit simply because the sights are limited to all of the awful ones. Wtf happened to sure shot on pulse rifles? Haven't seen one since taken king dropped.
-
1 RespuestaCheck my warlock, I love everything on it but the sights on it.....what do you guys think
-
I had one drop my second ever omnigul strike, and I wasn't even looking for it. Dropped with counter balance, braced frame, and third eye. I got it up to 305 and stapled it until I got my hung jury and stopped using pulse rifles for the most part. Still break it out every once and a while because it was my baby for so long.

17 RespuestasBecause it's the only other Y2 weapon that contests Doctrine and TLW. It's one of the best guns in the game, and you don't need some god-tier roll for it to be that way. The perks don't even matter, the thing shreds. But if you do end up getting one w. A great roll, you're golden. I love my Grasp. I only grinded for it so I had a weapon to use in Trials / IB that could excel against the other top tier PvP weapons. I just don't like last word or doctrine at all. Hate them both. & prior to Grasp the only two weapons I use that could win were Thorn & Praedyth's Timepiece...but those are obviously only Y1. Grasp is great. It's genuinely one of the strongest guns in the crucible right now, and I highly recommend anyone to grind for it if you're serious about PvP and need a powerful Y2 weapon.

Likely similar to Pradethys Timepiece and the Strangers Rifle in year 1, which barely anybody used.
-
4 RespuestasI don't get it ether. I don't have one but I've looked at the stats and don't see anything special. There has got to be some hidden perk. I get melted by it pretty often.
-
It kills in three fast burst.
-
1 RespuestaSame reason people want Doctrine of Passing, the fire rate makes the target spaz out due to flinch.

Editado por Weeeaal: 2/24/2016 7:52:00 PMBullet hoses are running the Crucible right now. Whether it's Doctrine or Arminius, MIDA, TLW, NL Shadow/Inward Lamp/ I forget which SUROS scout or Grasp, faster firing weapons are the way to go. And at 23hs per bullet, it can 3 burst if you're accurate enough (23 x 9 =207) Edit: I have my favorite one on my titan. Not the best roll as BF is better than HLS for this gun but it has my favorite Red Dot and a ton of stability. Also, Feeding Frenzy is <3
-
It got a 2% nerf to it's damage while others got a 8% or 9%. Plus it's a high rate of fire
-
-
1 RespuestaThey don't, Unless you are way behind the curve and/or wanna be a destiny hipster.
-
6 RespuestasI saw someone post saying grasp has the second fastest kill time under tlw Can anyone confirm?
-
My brother has one and it is absolutely beautiful :)
-
Editado por Yahini: 2/24/2016 6:39:58 PMBecause it's the only y2 pulse rifle with the same rate of fire as p. Timepiece
-
Ttk is one of the best in the game right now and won't be affected much by any patches because of its rof
-
Praedyths Timepiece is the original Grasp
