Is there ANYONE that plays purely for fun on here?
Maybe it's just me but lately the forums seem extra negative in general.
Yes there are issues. All games have them. However, at least in my years of gaming, when a game wasn't fun anymore it was time to move on.
My point is despite the issues and lack of new content I keep playing almost daily because I find it fun as hell. The enjoyment of shooting shit with a few friends (or shooting each other) is all the reward I need.
Anyone else feel the same? Or am I just an easily entertained dummy.
Edit: hearing a lot of good stuff! Glad there's still quite a few good people out there. Cheers guardians.

The reason I bought the game and still play is I have fun socializing with friends. Whether it's pve or pvp it's nice to just kick back with a cold beer an bs with the group. When I first started playing the crucible I was hilariously bad. I would be lucky to go positive but I didn't and still don't care because it's just a game. When I got better I was running around with shadow price and invective. I loved blasting people with the shotgun. I had a 40 kill game with that setup I felt like a serial rapist on meth that game. But I decided before the Felwinter blink thorn era I would mix it up and try sniping. I got my ass kicked for a while but it didn't matter if I won or lost, if my k/d was good or bad I still have fun playing with my group. Lately I've been using no land beyond more and I've had a blast. I wish I saw more positive posts but normally it's someone crying about a gun that needs to be nerfed. It's a never ending cycle of nerfs an buffs because people take the game to seriously. I get my butt kicked all the time. I'm not going to bitch on here or childishly send someone hate mail. My advice to the whining masses is find a good group of friends, none of your stats matter, and if you are going to bitch about a video game (entertainment) you need to get out more or read because a video game is a luxury. Be thankful you're not in a society where you're hunting for your food every meal, don't have clean drinking water or a suitable shelter.

In a loot based game like Destiny the amount of FUN goes hand in hand with the rewards. When players are rewarded with great loot for their time investment in a game they naturally have more FUN then if they were to have played and not received anything good. Think about what is mostly wrong with Destiny? Mainly the broken loot table in KF and stingy RNG. If Bungie ever decides to fix the loot table issues then the Destiny grind becomes less. Once players max out their characters then there's no incentive left to play because you've "completed the game" it's FUN to play with friends and clan mates. It sucks to not be rewarded for your time investment in a loot based game.

The problem with Destiny is that you, as a solo player, is locked out from pretty much everything. And I get that they cater to groups but they have at the saem time gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to add new players. They've also failed miserably at giving solo gaming longetivity. They could have easily added stuff such as "get 100K kills and get a X" etc.

I just get on for iron banner and any new events. Until they add some worthwhile pve content I will mostly be playing other games.

My crew an I play everyday, always something to do. We recently started getting gear for PVP when we crimson doubles started and it's really opened up more. Now we all are above 315 with none raid gear. If you are bored move on, there are games out there you might like more.

Only in PvE. PvP is where you'll find all of the salt-ridden a-holes.

Thought I was the only one! I've never played mmo style games before so the idea of loot farming and all that to me is just a side affect of having fun. I play all the time and just love the gameplay of destiny. Best game ever. I don't raid much anymore or do trials because I generally don't care about the loot aspect anymore. I'd love to get that God roll sniper but in the meantime I'll use what I have and love every second of it. I applaud you sir!

A big yes from me, don't get to play everyday but I just enjoy running around shooting bad guys and tagging along with anyone who asks me to join them. Looking forward to new contents when it arrives. it's tough being a guardian but you get by one day at a time ;)

I try to. I'll still happily run Vault of Glass, The Dark Below raid and Prison of Elders with anyone who wants to do them even though the loot is still capped at year 1. I'm not too fussed at the loot. That being said I still get frustrated playing pvp. I'll still want to get higher light levels and exotics. It is annoying when they change the game to it's detriment and guns you used to enjoy using are near useless. They remove things (such as packs of wolves, hive knight spawns). So, yes I still play for fun, but it's justifiable for people to complain when their enjoyment is altered for the worse in a product that they paid for. Just my opinion.
