Don't tell me I cant play Destiny!!
So here it is...
In the last week I've been told to GTFO and [b]not[/b] play Destiny!. Apparently I'm not the type of player Destiny needs!.
You see, I admitted I was a casual. That I played for fun. That I wasn't very good but just ran a few strikes, a few bounties, let off some steam and then went back to other things in my life.
Then I was told that, because I have coordination and reflex issues after two strokes, and that means I find getting jumping right very difficult, that [b]I can't play Destiny and I was just sad [/b] so I should find another game to play!
So, let's get this straight. A game with a decreasing player base has elitist try hard morons actually trying to order people [b]off[/b] the game!
Way to go!
There are some great players and people in Destiny. But I don't go around telling people they can't do the raid or can't go to the lighthouse because they are too good. I don't ask them to carry me or demand they do everything for me in a raid so I can say I've done it.
So what gives you the right to tell me I can't play a game I've paid for ?.
Get over yourselves. It's a game. We all play it how we want and when we want. We get out of it what we put in. How I play doesn't hurt you (rarely play PvP in case someone wants to whine about me [b]hurting the team[/b] and these days I'm very rarely the worst player (odd that)!
Perhaps if you worried less about how others play you'd actually enjoy it more instead of going around ordering people about.
I like Destiny. I'd like to continue my journey with the game and franchise but driving people away really doesn't help my, or I suspect your, prospects of that happening!

1 RespuestaNow the feeling. I had just 1 stroke at the age of 38. When i picked up destiny i had little control of my left side (fine muscle control)(not the only issue. Speach is messed up) After more than a year in this amazing universe i have more control over my hand. Keep playing and do not listen to whiners with total control over their bodies and no life. 1 RespuestaOne: Anyone telling you to quit something as trivial as a recreational activity for such moronic reasons is most likely a child, either actually or mentally. Two: Anyone effected by the opinion of a child is themselves one, either actually or mentally. Do what you want, ignore the opinion of others unless you know them personally and respect them. Believe me, I know it can be difficult not to respond to such apparent ignorance, but try.

1 RespuestaHeh, game developers and publishers _need_ the so-called 'casuals' or they would never survive, because the vast majority of people who buy games would fit into that category, people who play recreationally. So more power to you, and awesome that you are still able to play despite the health issues. Gaming should be inclusive of all players, not just the petty elitists who seem to mistake some natural aptitude for gaming as worthy of a Nobel Prize. And I'm only slightly exaggerating. ;P

For me I was dragged into the sweaty community by some friends and now every Tom, Dick and Harry wont stop harassing me like most of the sweaty community does to each other. People like this just exist and in all honesty feel sorry for them because they'll never know what a decent Human being looks like.

I have played since alpha and in the beginning when we were all wide eyed and blown away(ish) with destiny, the player base was definitely friendlier. The decline in player base to the current state, to me, seems born from frustrated players with bungie, tired of running the same missions, strikes relentlessly that have become decreasingly less fun to do while the content which was fun and engaging has become obsolete. The blame for this lies with bungie, they have mis-managed destiny and shaped a game which is eroding itself away. I do d it funny that causal players are derided when the game was clearly aimed at such a player base, every mission, strike and goal is design in a jump on/off way. I believe the turning point was HoW, when it first dropped and players were not given a check point to take a break, led to horrendously long games learning the mechanics while dealing with the wipe. This was fine for people with a lot of free time to devote to the game, the rest of us not so. Sorry to rant on but again sorry to hear your experiences, unfortunately I don't think that it will get any better, most likely worse as the road map runs its course!
