Free ghost = bungie is desperate
I hate to post this shit but I'm calling bungie out here. That free 320 ghost is desperate marketing at its finest. I guess player log in time has been decreasing of late (no duh, where is our PvE content) bc throwing a 320 item out for free will certainly get people to come back even if it is just to get 7 matches completed. Then bungie can have an article posted about how log in rate has never been higher. Cmon bungie just give us another PvE related dlc, I don't care if I have to pay for it. I'm tired of doing the same raid over and over and over again!!
*edit: well hell this certainly blew up last night. Glad to see I've rustled some jimmies by posting something controversial! Too bad half the criticism is in the form of squeakers and die hard desticles bad mouthing everyone left and right that goes against their precious belief that this game is inherently good.

How are they getting the Correct estimaite on how many people are doing the event for fun? And how many are doing it because they have to to do their bounties or they have it as the only way to get a 320 ghost. It's all just More of the same Jerked Off bullshit Bungie does to try and manipulate their playerbase to Jump through their hoops. Thankfully I wouldn't be caught dead ingame supporting this pathetic excuse of content. Add.to it they just said in the weekly Update in spring they are raising the light level again,,,, so the 320 ghost is going to be useless in a few months (not that it does anything for anyone Ingame now, the difference between 310 and 320 is so small as to be unnotocable in 98% of the game

4 RespuestasThey explained that the drop rates were too low. I have gotten about 8 ghosts highest was a 306. Do i already have a 320 ghost yes. And 2 319 ghosts. I think its awesome they are doing this. Owning up to a shortcoming and doing something positive to make up for it. This is literally the first proof of their reading feedback and taking action in months. I personally see this as a step in the right direction. But please call me a destical or whatever i have seen that you immediately resort to personal attacks on people.

Just that they are giving out rewards how they should have from the start does not mean they are desperate. If they wanted to, after the taken king they would have just ran with the money.

It was just sad when they advertised the event on the PSN store with a large banner letting everyone know Destiny has a new game mode... How exciting, something to really draw in new fans on the store or draw back leaving fans who want an alternative game.

I'm glad I skipped this event this week. I'll be getting my 7 games in tomorrow. Maybe this'll make up for some of the Iron Banners that let me down. (319 iron shell is my best ghost right now) And light level is getting ready to jump again anyway, so in 2 months or less this won't matter :)

1/4 commenters has a brain. I dare the other three to tell me I'm wrong when they post a weekly update at some point saying they had an amazing turn out in in-game log ins during Crimson doubles bc of THE 320 GHOST! Certainly NOT for the fun of the game mode, which they will definitely play it off as.
