FREE CONTENT = EVERYONE STILL COMPLAINS
Its FREE, you paid nothing for it and yet you complain. You people always manage to suck the fun out of everything. You should all try getting outside and kicking the footy, or reconnecting with your families or something.
Its clear that nothing bungie does will ever satisfy you so why do you keep playing? You're all a bunch of complaining, self-entitled ungrateful wankers.

It's funded by emotes etc Bungie specifically said money from them goes to events like this. If you bought any emotes at all its not free.

OP must not realize how Small this FREE content is that they added. But nonetheless it was free and it is borderline fun. Rehashing 2v2 in a game that can't fully handle peer-to-peer 6v6 to bring the whining down to a minimum is just smart on their part. An also gave the emote lovers more Dance moves to throw 5$ a pop at. It's a Win win for Bungie, and lose for players who thought it was gonna be more to it then a BS pvp match with lack luster rewards.
