First I'd like to start off with saying that this is an opinion and you are entitled to yours as well. Hand cannon ammo was nerfed to just about half and I honestly don't see a point to it. It's a little hard to use a weapon like the ace of spades without running out of ammo clearing the first room. I use imago loop as a pve legendary and have to constantly look for ammo every time I use it for a long period of time. I would like to hear your thoughts on this and other weapon balancing you feel hand cannons need.
Edit 1: glad to see I'm not the only who has this mind set. Personally I also think that a range buff is needed to these hand cannons for the aim assist. Maybe not scout rifle range but come on.

More ammo and more stability pleas
-
I agree.
-
1 RespuestaHandcannons accuracy is a bit weak, but if all they do is buff the ammo, I will start using them again.
-
This !!!! I love them but don't use them for this reason in pve.
-
Their handling could use a bit of a buff too, just to make them feel less like rifles and more like handguns.
-
1 RespuestaMeh, it's fine to me. I still love hand cannons.
-
I stopped using hand cannons in PvE for this reason. Not a problem if it's patrol or the easy enemies but in cases where running out in the open to grab ammo is a bad idea like nightfalls then the hand cannon stays in the vault.

In pve yes definitely ever since 2.0 dropped primary ammo doesn't drop as much anymore so you're forced to use pulse autos and scouts.

3 RespuestasAgreed. The theory is that HC's are now a short range weapon so you will always be close to the action and hence, the ammo drops. However, practically speaking, I do not want to risk my neck running out to get ammo for MY HC when there are still very lively enemies around, and theres no burn on the guns meaning sometimes half your ammo reserve could go towards killing a single shielded major. IMO, you really handicap yourself if you are taking a HC into combat due to the low ammo reserve. It wasn't so bad when fieldscout worked and you had a 13 round mag and 80 rounds in reserve and hand cannons could knock down an elephant in a couple shots. But now that all enemies are bullet sponges they're useless in PVE and difficult to use in PVP.

I never understood this part of the hand cannon take down. It falls into the same box as field scout nerf. No one every complained about having too many rounds! Sadly my Imago Loop sits in the vault now. It's only good for patrol now... if I can find ammo...

Editado por Tomalaya1: 2/9/2016 9:52:06 PMSuper agree! In fact I was playing with The Ace of spades last night. I had to keep switching to secondary or heavy while out on patrol because I had zero primary. How backwards is that? I gave up on HC for all other activities. I could go whole rooms in nightfall with no HC ammo
-
I think hand cannon's range is in a good place. More damage for less range. With that, yes, reserve ammo is needed. Desperately.
-
I think the only thing that needs a buff is the reserve ammo, I hate hand cannons because I always run out of ammo
-
Editado por joey big guns: 2/9/2016 8:26:12 PMI used HCs from the beta till Bungie completely killed them. Now they're totally useless in PvE. Ammo reserve nerf was one of the most idiotic and unnecessary nerfs they've done since they started nerfing weapons. There was 0 reason to -blam!- with the ammo.
-
Agreed, used to love using them in PVE, but it wasn't worth constantly running out of ammo.

-
Editado por sigma: 2/9/2016 6:28:10 PMNot to much but it indeed needs one, there should be a small one, like 2 or 3 magazines more
-
I've posted about this several time. A couple of those posts were even trending for a while. But still no response from Bungie.
-
Hand cannons and scout rifles could use an ammo buff.
-
Editado por CannyJack: 2/9/2016 5:40:31 PMAbsolutely agree. Cutting reserve ammo was one of those weird nerfs where you say, "How on earth was that at all related to your goals here? Did you just say 'well, we're cutting range and accuracy, and hey -blam!- it, let's cut reserve ammo also!" If you really sincerely just didn't want people using them, just disable them. "This item cannot be equipped." It's a lot more straightforward.

Ammo and accuracy. Bump.
-
They need an accuracy buff they're garbage compared to year 1
