Just look at world of Warcraft man, activision-blizzard. When I used to play we were stuck in the same raid for 14 months.

  • WoW raids normally consist of 8-10 bosses with varying levels of difficulty. Early, mid and high tier separated by roughly 4 bosses per wing. Not to mention then the extreme bump in difficulty with Mythic (VERY HARD) mode, So yes you stay in WoW raids for a long time but it also offers much more content, along with crafting and a whole market and world bosses and tons of other content to keep PVE players happy. This game does have a few PVE things to do while on the Dreadnaught but if you've ever ran the Raid and gotten the gear you need or want. Everything else in PVE becomes to seem extremely lack luster with no updates or changes. Or anything new happening.

  • Also to mention, Blizzard has "created" unplanned content and released it simply because their previously released major content was completed much faster than they anticipated. Take Trial of the Crusaders for example (TotC). Ulduar was a phenomenal raid, don't get me wrong thinking it was too easy. Blizzard just anticipated a slower overall servers wide clear of the place. So Trials was needed, sure it wasn't the "GREATEST" content arguably the worst raid put together. But hey, content is content. Anything new creates a feeling of wonder for players and it keeps them hooked. TotC wasn't AMAZING, but it was still fun none of the less. If there is money to be made and the ability, I don't see why Bungie and or Activision would choose losing players and community over just giving them what they want and making them happy. Another thing I completely forgot to touch on. WoW content/raids are released 1 per few months in total of 3. So the expansion you pay the 45.99 for also guarantees you 3 raids ATLEAST. over the year. Granite I guess that's the power of subscription but still. Its hard to keep PVE players happy with little content and no flavor outside of the one and only one end game raid content.

  • A PC MMO still on WOW 1 versus a console FPS already working on Destiny 2. Completely different product.

  • Ouch. Well, only 9 more months to go with Oryx. And considering Destiny 2 was pushed back to sometime 2017, we may be in the same situation.
