Rift is such a fun game mode and the connection has never been smoother and the lobbies have never been this chill. I'm not sweating after a match anymore. Best Iron Banner yet IMO
Whats the Community's thoughts on this? anyone else loving this?
I'm not on Drugs!
Edit) Clear some confusion, I play alone, sometimes with just 1 other friend.
Edit 2) seeing a lot of solo players hating Iron Banner Rift, shall I turn this thread into a recruitment thread?

Depends on who you're playing. I had a couple of really awesome matches last night, but my overall experience can be described as infuriating. Rift is a good SRL type game to play with friends when you have nothing better to do, but not for Iron Banner.
-
This is great!!!!
-
I agree-this has been the most stress free iron banner-easy to get wins-easy to complete all bounties-every game u basically choose your role for your team so game to game the gameplay can be so different, which keeps the game fresh-i definitely love the change.
-
You must be playing a different game, its honestly just Conspiracy Theory-D and Party Crasher+1 every game for the first half then they all run out of ammo and have heavy and they just spawn kill you because the spawns are so poor. Rift was a horrible idea for a competitive game mode, alongside that with the current meta being just 5 guns again there is zero variety and its just boring. Maps are terrible as well, the connection is a lot better but since they updated it again too many red bars.
-
Same here, Rift is a lot of fun in my opinion, but with a bad team it's just frustrating.
-
Rift is fun, but I just don't think it should have been IB. It's too hard on solo/small fireteams if your randoms are unaware of how to properly play Rift. And yes, I can speak this from experience from how much I've played Rift solo prior to IB.
-
My experience has been mostly positive as a solo player. Don't like how a team of randoms will be split up after beating a full fire team only to join a lopsided game in progress. Biggest frustrations are the laggy red bar spark runners who seem to take no damage and the unreliable melee hit detection.

Editado por bobswerski: 1/29/2016 2:58:01 PMConnections and matchmaking time do genuinely seem a lot better. I like rift too, but It's hard out there for anyone in smaller than a 3 man team tho.
-
If I could get on a team that wasn't afraid of their precious K/D (mine is so bad I just don't care anymore!) I might actually enjoy it.

1 RespuestaEditado por DaywalkerSpankz: 1/29/2016 2:10:41 PMIt's ok. People are probably not happy with their score. As a support character, I can be on the bottom of the score board in a game with a positive kd. I'm just happy if the team wins. Rift is an objective scoring game. Unlike control where you can play it without having the objectives and still win (if your good enough, which I am not). It's very difficult to do that in rift. Also, my kd dropped dramatically as I attempted to get a high score. Unless you have great blockers on your team , your going to die at least half the time on your way to the spark. Kd is a big issue for most people, so that is another reason people hate it.

8 RespuestasDude....you are playing with a fireteam.... People complaining are mostly those who are NOT part of a fireteam. Close your thread. :/
-
I am having fun too. As long as you go with a team is really fun. I went with my raid team and we were winning like 3 of every 4 matches.

3 Respuestasgood to see you fam

I'm a winner. What are you?

1 RespuestaThe game mode is fun. The experience for a solo player is awful.

1 Respuestadunno - first day it was fast paced chaos - yesterday it was like a dull slow stroll Maybe bungie where right with SBMM

I personally hate going in with one or no friends, and facing against a team of 6 that know Rift. Meanwhile, the other 4 or 5 people on my team, have no idea how to play it, and think you can win by only getting kills.... lost about 6 games in a row due to this, like ~5000 to 20000

Cocaines a hell of a drug
-
I'm having a blast so far. Playing in a fireteam of 3 to 6. The lag has really not been to bad either.
-
Yep same here!!!
-
I like it. But the lag has screwed with me a few times. I mean last night I literally stood there shooting a Warlock over an over for like a minute walking over and slapping him, stick grenades to him with Telesto? Nothing. Then the lag finally catches up and he one shots me. That's not cool, guys. :)
-
I like it. Had a rough time in the last few matches but when the team "understands" each other is great. And I like the fact that it is a mode that requires you even as a single player to adapt to different matches. I just wished there were fewer midas.
-
Lag is at a low, which is great considering rift always had terrible connection. It's still annoying to get put on bad teams, but the fact I enjoy this rift more than default rift says something
-
I love rift iron banner since I'm a excellent spark runner. Haven't had this much fun in awhile and enjoying it.
-
Love it, playing with a full team that works together is awesome. This is a purely team based game and that is the only reason the majority of the complainers do not like it.
-
I haven't had this much fun playing pvp in destiny since ToO came out. I joined a match down 4K and came back to win last second with me getting the spark right at the rift and gave enough points for the win. I was so pumped after that match!
