Rift is such a fun game mode and the connection has never been smoother and the lobbies have never been this chill. I'm not sweating after a match anymore. Best Iron Banner yet IMO
Whats the Community's thoughts on this? anyone else loving this?
I'm not on Drugs!
Edit) Clear some confusion, I play alone, sometimes with just 1 other friend.
Edit 2) seeing a lot of solo players hating Iron Banner Rift, shall I turn this thread into a recruitment thread?

So you like getting put on a team of people who play like it's their first time playing crucible? Much fun ...Control and Clash were better by far.
-
Had a great IB too! Got to level 5 yesterday. Got all the gear with decent stats and perks. Still playing to pad up for next IB.
-
I feel the same in this IB as always. There's some lag, I win and lose rounds, drops are cool. I don't know what all the fuss is about
-
I've only run into 1 lagger. But rift still sucks.
-
Im really getting into the back and forth style of the gamemode

1 RespuestaCould you rename the the topic to 'the Red Bar's thread' please ☺

1 RespuestaWon a match by 100 points on bannerfall by killing spark runner as he was about to dunk. Im having fun
-
I love it! At first I thought I would hate it, and I did on day 1, but once matchmaking was fixed...
It is Awesome!
1 RespuestaSame here man, having a blast.
-
best iron banner ever!! super competitive, the first day was bad but now is awesome, my only complain is that the only thing dropping for me is boots -.-
-
Yep, solo player here, having fun also. Enough that despite having hit rank 5 I have kept playing IB. Oh and 3oC is dropping exotics like never before.

2 RespuestasEditado por PTC_68: 1/29/2016 9:54:03 PMMe too. Playing solo got three characters to level 5 by Thursday night and my first ever Phantom medal (I'm terrible at PvP). Love the game mode, the gear's been good and I'll keep playing for drops too.
-
Agreed. I have enjoyed this one most out of all I have participated in. I always enjoyed rift to begin with, which biases me a bit. I have only played solo all week, yet have won the majority of matches I played. Last IB I would quit after completing daily bounties but this time around I was motivated to play a few extra rounds just because it was fun. I agree on the connection, too. Lag has only been an issue in one game for me, and only Momentarily.

AGREED 100%

The actual experience so far has been fine, I've just never been a fan of Rift. If this atmosphere could transfer over to the next Control IB, I'd be really satisfied.
-
i had never played rift before and i play solo for the most part or a friend sometimes will join me. and i have to say i am having a great time. i got the scout rifle as a reward just as i hit rank 3. i don't feel overly stressed, altho the first few matches i played in i was totally lost cause i didn't know what to do. now i'm just having fun. oh and also as rewards i had gotten 3 IB legging armor and one helmet. the highest legging is what i have on (titan).

This iron banner has been the most frustrating in my opinion
-
I'm playing solo and enjoying as well. I feel like randoms are more able to win against fire teams since everyone knows the way to play rift. And you don't have to worry about spawn flips etc
-
I am also enjoying the rift, I feel in the future bungie should randomize the iron banner game type every game. And regardless if they do this or not they should penalize ppl who drop out after the game starts by losing a medallion if they have one, or maybe a crucible time out till they can come back in on something. If you were to leave in match making or post game no penalty.
-
The ones who hate it are the ones that suck at it
-
I've never wanted to throw the controller at the tv until this. Funny how some ppl are really loving it. I find it fairly lame. I could go into the reasons but I'll spare you.
-
This iron banner makes me want to hurt myself
-
Sometimes I win so for now I'm having fun lol. Not grinding IB nearly as hard as I have in the past, I might play like 7 or 8 games in one sitting then just give it a break, but overall it's been fun. I've also been a lot more chill though and not letting what other people do bother me too much, like trying to blink shotgun me for instance lol.
-
I agree with you. I first tried Rift several months ago for the legendary marks and got stomped so hard I didn't try it again until this IB. I've even been having fun after I realize the fireteam of 5 I was partnered with left because they were up against a fireteam of 6. It has grown on me throughout the week and has been a blast!

2 RespuestasHow much are Bungie paying you? The format sucks.

You forgot the sarcasm hashtag...
