My idea on making Year 1 content relevant again...

create and "Epic" or "Legendary" mode for year 1 raids. VoG difficulty level 290-300 light, gear drops at 280 and is infusable Crota difficulty level 300-310 light, gear drops at 280 and is infusable on top of that remove burns on primary weapons, and make armor stats RNG similar to TTK raid gear (ie: boots are either Machine Gun or Rockets, not just "Heavy": chest drops sniper, shotty, fusion, or sidearm, not just "Special" weapons) this would make the old raid gear relevant yet not over-shadowing the year 2 content. would also bypass that light level grind of strikes playlist that was such a pain to get a character ready for TTK normal raid, and give new Year 2 players the amazing feeling of getting those sweet Vog or Crota drops that we craved and lusted for in Year 1. would also allow year 2 content (Raid/Trials/IB) to remain relevant and useful for infusion fuel. there's no need to change the raid. no need to add Taken sections or revamp anything. no need to add any challenge modes to Y1 raids. just copy/paste the gear into a new loot table, adjust the light level, add infusion, and the little TKK logo at the top corner. if the Devs buckled down for a couple weeks it would be a snap. and would provide the community with triple the content, quadruple if you were to add a Prison of Elders "Legendary" mode. personally i adore this game. i agree the PvP section needs to be addressed but those are more about fixing mechanics and latency issues than adding more content. as a primarily PvE player, a boost in content like this would hold me and many others over for a while. now im not naive enough to think an idea like this hasnt been brought up at Bungie nor on these forums. but i do think we as a community should voice our thoughts and ideas to open a bridge of communication between us and the amazing staff at Bungie. Edit: Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, ill try to keep up with replys unless this thing blows up ;)
