I really dont know where this new found love for year 1 Destiny came from, but i wish it would go away. I dont miss grinding for materials on each location; i dont miss having to rely only on rng to level up/get things; i dont miss everyone using the same weapons/looking the same in gear; i dont miss the complicated currency system; and there are other things i dont miss. No, destiny year 2 isnt perfect, but it is a lot better than year 1. All the shit yall claiming to miss is still available to do/use in the game, yall just dont cause to yall there is no reason to. The reason should be for fun, but that's not good enough for yall.

  • You still rely on RNG to level up/get things, only it's worse than before. PoE should have been harder, but at least it guarenteed you could be max level AND ensure that all of your unique and/or unobtainable vanilla weapons stayed relevant. HoW didn't add much content, but it was still the height of Destiny.

I didn't say there was no rng involved in leveling, I said that in year 1 rng was the only way to level up, big difference. Now, you can level up through so many activities that guarantee you things, unlike year 1. Also, because of how bungie changed the damage input/output based on levels, it's not as severe as it was in year 1. 1 level made the world of difference in year 1, where as in year 2, it doesn't. I say that to say: people that complain about not being 320 are complaining just to complain because you don't need to be 320 to do shit in this game. In reg pvp there is no level advantages. And in banner/ToO, it takes 10+ difference in levels to really see a difference, and by now most people aren't 10+ different levels when they do those activities.. As for pve, once you reach level 311, everything in this game is like normal, including the hard raid. As for HoW being the height of destiny, lol. It was the height of year 1, which it should've been, no doubt, but year 2 has taken what they started in TDB and continued in HoW, and taken it to new levels. They've improved so much in the game, it's not even close. The people that don't see that just aren't trying to see/acknowledge it. Seriously, i'm starting to question people that praise year 1 so much whether or not they played year 1. Cause either they didn't or they just looking back at it through rose colored glasses and ignoring all the shit year 1 had, that some of the same people complained about. A lot of the shit people complained about in year 1, bungie has addressed in year 2, but somehow year 1 was better. Lol whatever
